First real lift with Phil Holliday.

Day one isn’t about perfect form. It’s about learning what a good rep is supposed to feel like.

We worked on breathing, control, technique, and mind-muscle connection. You’ll see me using tactile cues and helping Phil through a few assisted reps once he had done everything he could on his own.

Coaching isn’t just counting reps and yelling motivation. It’s teaching someone how to actually train.

Session one down. Now we build.

Back day with Alex Greenman.

This session was all about making the reps actually hit where they’re supposed to.

On the chest-supported row, we focused on keeping his chest planted, controlling the elbows, and getting the mid-back to do the work. You’ll also see me using tactile cues on his back to help reinforce that mind-muscle connection.

At the end, I helped him through a few forced reps, then we finished with chest-supported dumbbell rows pulling toward the pockets to shift more emphasis lower through the back.

For me, coaching isn’t just counting reps and yelling motivation.

It’s teaching people how to move, what they should be feeling, and how to make every set have a purpose.

Motivation helps. Good coaching teaches you how to train.
