Congratulations to Dr. Anikar Chhabra and Dr. Theresa Cullen for receiving an ArMA 2022 Healthcare Award!
Dr. Anikar Chhabra currently serves as the medical director for Arizona State Sun Devils and the medical director for the Fiesta Bowl. When Dr. Chhabra is not caring for elite NCAA Division 1 athletes, he is helping ensure youth and high school athletes at 21 high schools and on club teams are getting high-quality athletic care. Additionally, he was recently appointed to the board of directors for the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority by Governor Doug Ducey. Dr. Chhabra is leading the way to ensure athletes at all levels in Arizona get the level of care they deserve.
Dr. Theresa Cullen is being recognized by both ArMA and Arizona Department of Health Services for her continuous commitment, expertise, and compassion for local, regional, and state-wide public health during the COVID-19 pandemic. She currently serves as director of the Pima County Public Health Department. Before leading Pima County in its fight against COVID-19, she had an illustrious 27-year-long career in public health and still holds the rank of Rear Admiral in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. Dr. Cullen is also no stranger to fighting pandemics and epidemics; in 2014 and 2015, she volunteered as a physician in Sierra Leone to fight the Ebola Virus Outbreak.
Join us in thanking and congratulating these two wonderful physicians who are consistently putting the needs of other well before their own.
