I hate to say it but...meal plans will give you an idea what to eat and simplify things on the front end…but what happens after you're following the SAME meal plan for weeks, or MONTHS on end?⠀
⠀
Luckily, here’s a simple solution we like to use: Perform a ‘dietary recall’ for 1 week before creating a meal plan.⠀
⠀
Here’s why our strategy is 10x more effective:⠀
--⠀
1. When we see what you eat, we can make gradual changes to your diet. Otherwise, you’re shooting in the dark with a meal plan.⠀
--⠀
2. If you’re not willing to track what you eat for a week, chances are you wont be willing to stick to a meal plan. I’ll be happy if you can prove me wrong.⠀
--⠀
3.You’ll find the gaps in your nutrition. Awareness is the first step to changing. You’ll see the gaps in your nutrition much like a coach would and be able to make the changes you need to STOP fat gain and low-energy days and START getting lean, energetic, and performing you best.⠀
⠀
So, when it's all said and done, are meal plans great? Yeah, they can simplify a few decisions.⠀
⠀
But after weeks of sticking to it, the SAME meal plan won’t teach you how to get lean, stay lean, and FIX your nutrition (and by extension you decreasing health, low energy etc) long term.⠀
Long term problems need long term, adjustable solutions.⠀

What has been your experience with meal plans?
