Perfect day to celebrate our marvelous docents. Sharing the history of this beautiful church would be impossible without this knowledgeable group. We are oh so grateful to them!

When renovation at the Old Adobe Mission began in early 2000’s there were no pews as they had been taken to the new, bigger church. We had photographs like the black and white one (the original shows more) to help us recreate the lay out of the inside of the church. At the time Santa Rosa Chapel was looking for a home for their old pews and they contacted a board member who went over to see if indeed these would work. They were perfect!

Yup …. The very first Mass was celebrated on Sunday October 15, 1933. Making us 92 years old today. We have most definitely been Blessed by all of heaven to still be here for you! We are so grateful to see you all each and every day!

In our History gallery is the Evan’s family Bible presented to the Cruz Medina family in 1949. The card reads “In appreciation for many years of friendship. This book of my family.”
It takes a very unique relationship for one family to hand down a family Bible to another family. What a legacy!
In 2019 Anna Maria Medina, granddaughter of Cruz Medina gifted this family Bible to the Old Adobe Mission. We are eternally honored to house this precious heirloom.

Opening day 2025-2016 season is Saturday September 27. Daily hours 12-4
