Another region victory for your Lady Dons Basketball Program 🚨🚨🚨 After a grueling, 3-game week ~ your Lady Dons finished this week going 2-1 and ending it with a road victory last night at Tempe High School. All 7 girls played HUGE minutes & all stepped up their games to earn this win.

Senior, Iris Allen ~ she has played great in all three games of the week & is playing her best brand of basketball of her career thus far 👏🏽 She took control & established herself defensively, to where she disrupted the basketball every time it crossed half court. Your Lady Dons captured another hard-fought, region win against Cortez High School tonight. Overall, all 9 members of the team played a great game from start to finish. Proud of the effort, the teamwork & the resilience the girls played within.

Once again, I have had the absolute pleasure of working alongside of you five for the last four years. Whether that’s on the basketball court, being a member of the Lady Dons or just a student in my math classroom. Teaching & coaching you is an extremely privilege I have had each & every day the last four years.

To Diana Gil, you have taught me how it is never too late to begin something to have your impact felt immediately.

To Iris Allen, you have taught me how imperative it is to create a safe space everyday for kids & to allow for development to unfold naturally.

To Alexis Armenta, you have taught me two things can be true. That it is possible to compete, but at the same time, you can also have fun. That is equally as important.

To Jade Chavez, you taught me how special it is to have a positive attitude & how it can easily influence any situation for the better. Smiling goes a long way.

To Miranda Moreno, you taught me that great moments originates from great displays of effort. Your quiet leadership & strong effort, goes unnoticed.

Your Lady Dons Basketball club captured their sixth win of the season tonight against Glendale High School. A come from behind victory as the Lady Dons outscored Glendale 22-14 in the second half after being down by 7 at halftime. Proud of the effort to come back & prevail a big game time win at home.

Jade Chavez is as tough as they come & has her nose in every single possession of the ball game. Her second chance efforts contributed into timely plays for her team tonight 💪🏽.jad3

Alexis Armenta is a four-year member of our program & tonight & every single night, brings the energy to our program. Her constant enthusiasm & great attitude is a staple of our program & we couldn’t be more proud of her effort, her improvement & her attitude this season. 🙏🏽

Started with our FROSH group who have been playing excellent since we came back from break. Freshman stud, Charlie Rambler has been leading the charge for the FROSH this entire week as our FROSH girls finished 2-0 💪🏽💪🏽

BIG DAWG PLAYER OF THE GAME 🐶 goes to Freshman, Tressa Rope who led all scorers & created a personal high with 20 points 😈 She has been fabulous all year long & we are extremely lucky to have her in our school & program.
