āļøTPH IS NOW OFFERING CONSIGHNMENTS!āļø

I have two beautiful Stallions available on consighnment currently!

SHADOWFAX:
Beautiful Grey of Godly decent. He cannot be ridden in a saddle, so I hope you have an equally magical seat!
16.0 H
About 10,000 years old
Knows tricks.
Cannot be trained, he knows more than you do!
Knows vocal cues, like actually knows what you say and can be pretty insulting when you ride incorrectly. - Priced to sell in the millions- in fact just bring a dragons hoard or perhaps a cool old engraved ring of incredible power.

SPIRIT:
Lovely Buckskin Mustang Stallion.
* EXPERIANCED HOME ONLY*
The vet got kicked so we’re selling as intact.
About 15.1 (He won’t let me measure)
Not UTD on farrier, He made the Farrier cry.
Might be rideable in the future?
You can pet him and feed him apples.
I did all the groundwork, you just need to hop on and trust me! In the tripple carrot price range, I know what I’ve got don’t lowball me!

What’s more important than learning to ride?

Learning to keep horses ALIVE!

So often I find lesson programs that claim to cater to aspireing horse owners. Yet, they show you how to brush and talk about vet expences and board!

To truly understand what it takes to own a horse, you need to know what to do the other 23 hours of horse ownership. Plenty of equine PROFESSIONALS don’t even keep up with current science concerning a horse’s health!

When we work with animals, we need to have their best interests in mind for more than the hour a day we ride them.

āļø Workout Wednesday!

Here’s one of my riding secrets! My seat is so good because my ā€œbaseā€ aka my calves are strong! They help me keep my weight down in my sturrups or even without them for my !!

ā€œ AI will never replace the job of a horse trainerā€

And yet, for some things, it already has!

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why it seems every trainer now ā€œuses gentle but effective methodsā€ ā€œfocuses on groundworkā€ and why I still get folks needing re-starts. Why I still get folks telling me they got completely scammed. Well, they aren’t actually describing the training they offer, they’re seeing what advertising works and having a machine think for them.

I make an effort to write my social media posts (every last one including this one!) and ads. Because I train my horses, I know how I want my training described. I believe there’s no better skill for someone to have in any industry than critical thinking, creativity, and authenticity. I will not be taking any shortcuts in my advertising, outreach, or actions themselves!

I’ve always loved writing and I’ve always had unique ideas to share with those around me, so while I realize that I’ve fallen in to some of these clichĆ©s, I refuse to communicate in a way that lacks integrity and honestyļæ¼.

When I say I do lots of groundwork, that horse gets worked on the ground.

When I say I bring out the best in a horse, I’m speaking on my dedication to you and your equine partner’s horsemanship journey.

When I don’t post or I use super simple advertising, that’s because I don’t have the time to dedicate at the moment.

When I give advice, it comes from decades of passion that has brought me to where I am today.

I’m not trying to advise against working with trainers that use AI, we all get busy and need a little help sometimes. However, if someone can’t think on how to describe something, to me that speaks to a lack of desire and honesty. I want to know that when I take part in my own continued education, I’m working with someone that puts heart and soul in to what they do!

Below are the answers ChatGPT gave me for ā€œhorse training adā€ I’ve certainly seen these floating around, and I’ll commonly use some of the wording in my own ads (ChatGPT sees the most commonly used phrases and steals them!)

What makes a ā€œgood horsemanā€? I have a lot of answers, but here’s just one of the many!

āļø WORKOUT WED!

Work that upper body!- You’re shoulders don’t just disapear when you get on a horse! Good posture that moves with a horse is an unquestioned requirement for good riding.

- In order to truly be the best we can be, we need balance! If you don’t do it for your riding, do it for the fact that you’ll be more indipendant as you age and more capable getting your barn chores done!

šŸ™ŒI created TPH because I was disappointed with a lot of the barns I worked at. Working with horses is about THE HORSE!
