What’s more important than learning to ride?

Learning to keep horses ALIVE!

So often I find lesson programs that claim to cater to aspireing horse owners. Yet, they show you how to brush and talk about vet expences and board!

To truly understand what it takes to own a horse, you need to know what to do the other 23 hours of horse ownership. Plenty of equine PROFESSIONALS don’t even keep up with current science concerning a horse’s health!

When we work with animals, we need to have their best interests in mind for more than the hour a day we ride them.

And yet, for some things, it already has!

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why it seems every trainer now “uses gentle but effective methods” “focuses on groundwork” and why I still get folks needing re-starts. Why I still get folks telling me they got completely scammed. Well, they aren’t actually describing the training they offer, they’re seeing what advertising works and having a machine think for them.

I make an effort to write my social media posts (every last one including this one!) and ads. Because I train my horses, I know how I want my training described. I believe there’s no better skill for someone to have in any industry than critical thinking, creativity, and authenticity. I will not be taking any shortcuts in my advertising, outreach, or actions themselves!

I’ve always loved writing and I’ve always had unique ideas to share with those around me, so while I realize that I’ve fallen in to some of these clichés, I refuse to communicate in a way that lacks integrity and honesty.

When I say I do lots of groundwork, that horse gets worked on the ground.

When I say I bring out the best in a horse, I’m speaking on my dedication to you and your equine partner’s horsemanship journey.

When I don’t post or I use super simple advertising, that’s because I don’t have the time to dedicate at the moment.

When I give advice, it comes from decades of passion that has brought me to where I am today.

I’m not trying to advise against working with trainers that use AI, we all get busy and need a little help sometimes. However, if someone can’t think on how to describe something, to me that speaks to a lack of desire and honesty. I want to know that when I take part in my own continued education, I’m working with someone that puts heart and soul in to what they do!

Below are the answers ChatGPT gave me for “horse training ad” I’ve certainly seen these floating around, and I’ll commonly use some of the wording in my own ads (ChatGPT sees the most commonly used phrases and steals them!)
