Todays goal at the gym… STRETCH!!!!
With everything in life I am go go go. Lol. I don’t like sitting still. I don’t like Yoga, I don’t like stretching. I don’t like sitting on the couch doing nothing. I like having 10168 things to do 🤣
But after tearing my calf muscle 2 weeks ago from trying to beat Kyle in suicides 🤦♀️I learned I need to slow down and stretch. As an athlete, a former fitness competitor and a degree in Kinesiology you would think I know better lol. Even in High School I never liked stretching or warm ups!! But here I am… 2 weeks later and still not healed 😩
Truth is stretching is SO important to prep your body and prevent injuries. The older you get it becomes even more important because your muscles are well….. older and not as able to bounce back!! Lol
Stretching SHOULD be part of your daily workout routine!! Don’t be a Kelly 🤣

Definitely took it easy and lifted pretty light but feels SO good to be back at it!!! Initially I had set a goal of trying to compete in an #npcbikini competition...so will see if we can accomplish that! Lol. Being over 40, 2 babies and a full time job will definitely make it challenging!!! 🤣
AND all I want to do is spend every minute of my free time with my 2 little miracles!!
