⁣EVERYONE can benefit from unilateral work especially those looking to target lower body imbalances or ENHANCE performance!⠀

It doesn’t always have to be a barbell or even heavy for that matter.. targeting the RIGHT muscles with the right force to ensure compensation isn’t coming from other places (i.e. muscles or momentum)⠀

This is one of my favorite supersets using only a kettlebell and is a go to on functional days !⠀

**Holding KB on outside of leg for the deadlift and switching KB to inside of leg for the split squat**⠀

⁣3 TIPS for EXERCISE MASTERY!!⠀

1⃣Don’t go to the fanciest gym you can’t afford.. go to the one CLOSEST to you and if you can.. have multiple memberships! Having options close to home and work make exercising more ACCESSIBLE and give you less reasons (excuses) to skip a day! We walk to one of our gyms (), that’s how close it is!⠀

2⃣Go to the gym even when you don’t “feel” like it (this might sound counterintuitive) but it’s always about getting those first 5-10 minutes in.. warm up, increased your heart rate and you’re entire mood WILL change.. you actually FEEL like working out now!⠀

“I don’t really feel like it”⠀

You aren’t always going to be 100%.. if we waited for the “perfect” time to workout that would mean a lot of skipped days when feeling 80% and STILL giving our best effort would add to our progress and results!⠀

3⃣Skip the exercises you don’t like.. their are ALWAYS other options to build muscle, increase strength and lean out in ways you will ENJOY!⠀

We’ve been training for 10 years and rarely use the elliptical.. not to say it’s not effective (check out for some amazing elliptical and treadmill workouts) but it’s just not something WE find engaging!⠀

Note: This doesn’t mean skip every exercise you find hard, if you’re after certain results (toned legs, six pack abs, etc) then you will have to do some exercises you may not love!⠀

It’s about finding ENJOYMENT in the process! ⠀

Exercise as a lifestyle means focusing on sustainability! And Motivation to do so is imperative.. finding your individual drive/purpose to exercise is KEY 🔑 ⠀

⁣We LOVE birthdays!! 🥳⠀

Today we are celebrating birthday the only way we know how.. DRINKING!!.. wait what?! 🤔⠀

. Following her WELLNESS smoothie recipe of course! ⠀

It was a GREAT mid day snack packed full of proteins + nutrients! Perfect to tide you over for a few hours before dinner! 👌🏼⠀

What To Expect:⠀
Balanced Macronutrients ☑⠀
Healthy fats ☑⠀
Natural sugar boost ☑⠀
Powerful greens ☑⠀

⭐RECIPE ⭐⠀

2 scoops Vital Proteins collagen protein powder (we prefer the Vanilla)⠀

1 tablespoon raw cacao powder ⠀
1 tablespoon Chaga powder (We LOVE Four Sigmatics packets or Om Organic Chaga)⠀

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (Can substitute w/ 1/2 mashed banana or unsweetened apple sauce)⠀

1 tablespoon chia seeds⠀

1 tablespoon almond butter (Or peanut butter)⠀

1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk (Our favorite is Vanilla Unsweetened)⠀

Handful of fresh spinach⠀

Small handful of ice⠀

Small handful of blueberries ~ 1/4 cup (We prefer Little Wild Blueberries for added their health benefits)⠀
