Hi I just wanted to give a huge shout out to the Lifeguard team at El Dorado and Chaparral pools. My daughter is high functioning under the Autism spectrum, she was in the recent afternoon rec swim team. Two young ladies on the lifeguard team were so supportive and cared so much about how my daughter was doing in her events. Iโ€™m remiss that I donโ€™t know there names but the whole team at both pools are a credit to the community. Amelie had such a positive experience during the entire season.
Thank you so much.

I really love all of the amazing resources and bountiful access to information on this page! This page offers a lot of fruitful knowledge about many important topics! This reminds me of a film coming out this year called. The Revolution Generation:How Millennials Can Save America & The World is a groundbreaking film about the courageous ways that millennials and the younger generations are making a difference. The film showcases the social, political and environmental elements of life as well. The film is narrated by famous actress Michelle Rodriguez, her storytelling throughout the movie is impactful and insightful. Premiering in April later this year, The Revolution Generation, is an engaging film that I'm very excited to watch! Check out the trailer!

As , so does demand for amenities ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Lucky for us, Scottsdale residents and community leaders pushed early on for continued investments in open space and recreation facilities - even setting a goal to develop one acre of park land for every 100 residents.

๐Ÿ“ธ Pictured here is the construction of Chaparral Parkโ€™s Aquatic Center in 1974. Planning of the 74-acre park, then known as Jackrabbit Park, began in 1967. The city later received federal grants in 1971 to begin development, then renamed the park to Chaparral and broke ground on the project in 1972. The aquatic center opened Labor Day Weekend of 1974 as the largest free-form pool in Arizona at the time (297 feet long).

Weโ€™ve continued to build on that investment, just completing major upgrades this month to add eight USA Swimming-certified competition swim lanes, LED pool lights, new starting blocks, an in-ground aeration system, and expanded deck space and shaded areas!

Over the last year, we've moved forward multiple voter-approved 2019 Bond projects to replace aging infrastructure and build new spaces ๐Ÿ”จ๐Ÿฆบ

โค๏ธ Scottsdale Civic Center reopened after completion of renovations that began in October 2021. The project updated aging infrastructure at the city's signature special event and gathering space and added new amenities like the Children's Garden, playground, and splash pad

โšฝ๏ธ Construction began on the new Reata Sports Complex, completing work on the five new lighted fields, parking lot, and landscaping. The project is scheduled for completion in January 2024 after the construction of the site's restrooms and operations building. Reata will join the Bell94 and Scottsdale Sports complexes as the city's competitive tournament venues driving sports tourism and creating economic impact. These venues are also multifunctioning and accommodate parking and rideshare for the city's largest tourism-generating events including Barrett-Jackson and the Waste Management Phoenix Open

๐Ÿ’ง The first phase of repairs to lakes and irrigation in the Indian Bend Wash started at Eldorado Park in March. Work included conversion of non-recreational, passive turf to xeriscape around the community center and removal of lake sediment in preparation of a new lake wall and pump station. Improvements will save an estimated 651,702 gallons of water per year
