I really love all of the amazing resources and bountiful access to information on this page! This page offers a lot of fruitful knowledge about many important topics! This reminds me of a film coming out this year called. The Revolution Generation:How Millennials Can Save America & The World is a groundbreaking film about the courageous ways that millennials and the younger generations are making a difference. The film showcases the social, political and environmental elements of life as well. The film is narrated by famous actress Michelle Rodriguez, her storytelling throughout the movie is impactful and insightful. Premiering in April later this year, The Revolution Generation, is an engaging film that I'm very excited to watch! Check out the trailer!

There will potentially be record-breaking heat in the valley this weekend. ☀️🌡

Spring days in the Sonoran Desert can start off cool and inviting, but quickly turn hot and forbidding. The National Weather Service in Phoenix is predicting potentially record-breaking high temperatures in the mid 90’s from Thursday, March 24 through Monday, March 28, 2022. For your safety, please take necessary precautions before choosing to enter the Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Please leave your dog at home, as the desert heat can kill them with little or no warning, and you could be charged with animal cruelty under State law.

Here are some guidelines that will help you stay safe in the Preserve and reduce your risk of needing to be rescued:

• Visit the Preserve early in the day. Gates open roughly 30 minutes before sunrise.
• Bring ample water. When it is half gone, turn around.
• Begin hydrating your body prior to your outing, even the night before.
• Plan a route that fits your physical abilities and the expected weather conditions.
• Take a map with you.
• Bring your fully-charged cell phone.
• Be alert and watch for rattlesnakes.
• Wear sturdy footwear, a hat, sunscreen, and light-colored clothing that covers your skin.

To learn more about the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov, search “Preserve”
