Owned and operated by James Mckaskle and staff since 2005 and providing quality instruction, coaching, discipline, and fun using the Martial Arts as a tool to build character and comradery. Open to Adults and children of all ages with regular classes and private instruction.

Celebration of Life

A Life Remembered
James E McKaskle, 52, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2022. James was born in La Mirada, California on March 3, 1969 to his surviving mom, Pamela Ann Forest. He grew up with his sister Tammy Lea Black and raised his daughter, Meranda McKaskle and son James McKaskle Jr.

James spent his earlier life in California where he started his family and moved to Arizona in 2006, where he spent his remaining years. James thrived on being a mentor, instructor and student. He entwined his love for the lord and martial arts to create a dynamic practice of encouragement and enlightenment within his dojo. While running a successful martial arts dojo, he received his bachelor's degree in Science Religion at Liberty University. James was artful in using scripture mixed with martial arts to help his students advance in their practice and life. His encouragement, accountability and love will be missed, but not forgotten. His practice will live on in each students and teachers daily practices.

We are saddened to share the passing of our Sensei. James touched many of his students through his ability to train and nurture their development in the martial arts.
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that due to the nature of how the business was structured, everything dissolved with his passing and therefore, the dojo must close, as of January 23, 2022.

Though this is the closing of a chapter, his legacy is not forgotten. Questions about future training can be directed to Mariah and Ayden, to who we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for stepping up and keeping things going over the last few weeks.

We wish to close by expressing our appreciation for the outpouring of love and prayers, we have felt every single one. A celebration of life is being planned with a date yet to be determined, details will be shared as soon as they become available.
