All Out to Eat: 1,631 calories for the day and 162g of protein!

Places:

Panera
Wendy’s
In-N-Out
Chick-fil-A

Macros

Fats: 71g
Carbs: 86g
Proteins: 162g
Fiber: 19g
Total Daily Calories: 1,631

This is by no means me telling you to only eat out or that eating out completely is healthy. I am not here to tell you any of that. But what I am here to tell you is that you CAN still EAT OUT and achieve your physique goals. I comes down to the amount of overall daily calories consumed and protein intake.

I would also like to note that this meal above does not have much fiber at 9 grams. Daily recommended amounts range from 20-25 grams. So with that, I would suggest to find other low calorie foods that are also high in fiber, like Chia Seeds. They have 9g of fat, 13g of carbs and 5g of protein per serving (roughly 150 calories), but the kicker? Each serving (30g) yields 10 grams of fiber! So add a serving to the foods you are eating throughout the day you will have consumed 19 grams of daily fiber, all within EATING OUT.

Use this template when you are on-the-go and have to choice a fast food join or something similar, put your attention towards the calories and protein when making choices. This is more difficult than making your own food, but much simpler if you are in a pinch or just don’t have the energy to prep or cook.

“No one ever got “fat” eating protein.” And I will continue to stand by this statement. Make conscious choices or at least try to. Make it a habit to cook from home as this will save money, give you more choices, and you will know more about what you are eating,, BUTT you can still go out to eat and achieve your goals enjoying foods you like.

It’s hard to keep calories in check while also meeting your protein goals, so use this template as a guide to help you while you’re out-and-about and need to grab something to eat fast or just don’t want to cook. Focus on calories and protein always. Fats and Carbs can just be interchanged to suite your preference. Don’t forget- calories and protein 🙂

How Did Ma*****na Become Illegal in the First Place?

To understand how we ended up here, it is important to go back to what was happening in the United States in the early 1900’s just after the Mexican Revolution. At this time we saw an influx of immigration from Mexico into states like Texas and Louisiana. Not surprising, these new Americans brought with them their native language, culture and customs. One of these customs was the use of cannabis as a medicine and relaxant.

Mexican immigrants referred to this plant as “ma*****na”. While Americans were very familiar with “cannabis” because it was present in almost all tinctures and medicines available at the time, the word “ma*****na” was a foreign term. So, when the media began to play on the fears that the public had about these new citizens by falsely spreading claims about the “disruptive Mexicans” with their dangerous native behaviors including ma*****na use, the rest of the nation did not know that this “ma*****na” was a plant they already had in their medicine cabinets.

The demonization of the cannabis plant was an extension of the demonization of the Mexican immigrants. In an effort to control and keep tabs on these new citizens, El Paso, TX borrowed a play from San Francisco’s playbook, which had outlawed o***m decades earlier in an effort to control Chinese immigrants. The idea was to have an excuse to search, detain and deport Mexican immigrants.

That excuse became ma*****na.

Personally, I squatted and deadlifted for 10 years before I even found out about hip-thrusts and glute bridges 😂

If I wanted to grow my glutes more importantly over my lower body as a whole, I would perform hip thrusts and bridges

If I wanted to grow me lower body more so I would perform squats.

Butt…. As always, performing BOTH are most optimal ✅ 🍑

Notice patterns in your life that may not serve you anymore.

Notice the thoughts that are constantly in your head.

Notice the actions or inactions you’ve taken or not taken.

The words you speak to yourself.

The judgments within your mind of self and others.

Allow yourself the ability to JUST BE with these thoughts, emotions and energies.

Good, now that that’s over....

The other day I saw a post of a personal trainer telling their audience that the top 3 things for a successful program is lifting weights, diet, and cardio.

BRUHHH...
-
Cardio is cool (not really) and needed at certain times BUTT is NOT needed for weight loss or accomplishing your fitness goals.
-
This trendy topic that cardio is king for losing weight and getting “toned” is completely false and anyone who says that you NEED cardio to accomplish whatever your fitness goal is, is simply not educated enough.
-
All in all, cardio isn’t magic, it’s just another tool in your tool box to achieve more energy expenditure.

You like and enjoy cardio, sure, do it.
-
You don’t like cardio, hey guess what... don’t fu***ng do it.
-
Put more time in at the gym getting stronger. You’ll burn more calories doing that than cardio anyways, plus you’ll be getting stronger, building muscle (“toning”), and losing that stubborn body fat over time.

Also, since I was too tired to post a video or picture of every single exercise, I would invite anyone who doesn’t know what a movement is based on the verbiage, to google it 😉

And also, don’t forget that this time of the year, while still can be enjoyed staying on track and going to the gym like your normal routine, it is also a time to reflect, be around family and friends and close ones and also a time to give yourself grace and gratitude without holding such rigid routines. Allow yourself to flow without NEEDING to accomplish EVERYTHING. Stay safe out there my friends ❤️

Achieving objectives and checking items off your to-do list are excellent, but they don't directly correlate with your value as a human!

It doesn't matter what you do for your job. What matters is that you perform it well and are satisfied by it.

Your 'followers' on social media: Furthermore, it is irrelevant how many people follow you on Twitter or retweet your tweets. Though considering other people's ideas can be educational and beneficial, it has no bearing on our inherent worth.

Your age: There is nothing you are too young or too old for. Your age is only a number and has nothing to do with how valuable you are as a person.

As stated before, it is irrelevant what others believe or what they have done or accomplished. What you believe, say, and do about yourself is much more significant than what other people think, say, or do.

Your grades: Each of us has unique skills and weaknesses, and some of us are just not suited for academic life. A straight-A student is equally as useful and worthwhile as a straight-F student or a dropout, and this has no influence on how valuable we are as people.

Your worth as a person has nothing to do with the number of connections or friends you have. What matters most is the quality of your relationships.

Your relationship status: Whether you are single, dating casually, or in a committed relationship, your value is the same regardless of your relationship.

Having money in the bank, or not having any: You have already attained the maximum amount of "value" you can acquire from money. If you have enough money to physically survive (which can really be $0), you are already worthy.

THE BEST FOR LAST!

Anything or anyone other than you: Here's where we get to the core of the issue: only you can judge your own value. You are deserving and valued if you believe that to be the case. Guess what, even if you don't think you are deserving and worthwhile, you still are!

When we have holidays like yesterday, thanksgiving, we tend to forgot that it is just ONE DAY. Just like someone can’t get “fit” in one day, someone can’t get “fat” in one day either. It takes time and consistently eating more calories than you burn to gain weight, one day doesn’t do anything.

That’s cleared up.

When people over-eat they tend to under-eat the following days afterwards. I wouldn’t suggest this as it will have you constantly chasing and chasing.

Advice- just go back to normal the following day and get on track. We look for consistency not perfection.

And let’s not forget that the size of your body does not equate to worthiness. You are still enough just as you are.

When you can allow yourself to create the reality that you want, you will lose s**t, whether thats clients, money, time etc., because to accept new things into your reality, you must let go of old ones. Out with the old and in with the new.

It's making the "choice" to let go that feels difficult. We believe that if we let go, we wont get what we want. The attachment is what creates resistance and repels the energy of love. Once we see that being attached is what is creating the pain AND is not giving us what we want, we can make the choice more easily. The key is to focus more on the relationship with self and nurturing that first.
As we feel more worthy and love ourselves it becomes easier to have love reflected back AND our energy will be more magnetic since people feel what we feel about ourselves.

YOU'LL START TO OUTGROW A LOT OF PEOPLE ONCE YOU START DOING WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU. IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT, THAT'S ON THEM TO DEAL WITH THEIR ATTACHMENT AND EGO. IT'S NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PLEASE EVERYONE.

152 grams of Protein, fun foods, keeps it sustainable 😉

Heres a simple meal plan that ANYONE could follow, granted some dietary restrictions.

This is a simple formula to create meal plans like this,

Breakfast
Snack #1
Lunch
Post Workout Shake
Dinner
Snackkkkkkks late night edition ;)

Each meal has an average protein intake of roughly 25 grams!

This is a simple way to still enjoy the foods you love and still hit protein goals and calories goals!

I didn’t add in veggies or fruits besides the cauliflower pasta, add in as much as you’d like!!! I rarely count calories for fruits and veggies because ain’t no one getting fat from those 😉

This client right huuurrrrr has been nothing short of profound within the last 6 months. Her strength has been growing like crazy and her physique quickly changing!

Looking at both of these pictures, it is only a 6 # difference! This is what body recomposition is! Losing body fat while gaining muscle and the weight on the scale doesn’t change THAT much IF any, but the physique is obviously changing! This is a good sign and a sign to continue doing what you’re doing! That is why most gym-goers should be focusing on strength goals and overtime your body WILL change for the better! Except now once you reach your physique goals you will also be strong AF!

Some of Megans personal bests:

Hip-Thrust: 320 ,

Back Squat: 165 , 140

Deadlift: 200 , 155

Bench Press: 110 , 85 , 75

Overhead Press (Push): 95 , 85

The movements above along with banded chin-ups, 45º hypers, abduction work, split-squat variations, and other variations of the above are what my bread and butter are.

Nothing fancy, just the basics and learning to progressively overload, aka getting stronger. But always keep in mind, RANGE OF MOTION and FORM will ALWAYS come first before adding more weight or reps!

I am extremely proud of you for giving me your all when you’re here training with me, AND also when you’re not with me! Keep being amazing

Advice to anyone working out: IF you train 4x/wk for an hour each session that is only 4 hours out of the 168 hours within a week. Just going to a trainer or just working out will maybe yield results, but it is what you do with the other 164 hours throughout the weeks that make the difference.
