If you’re hitting plenty of good shots but keep shooting 84, 85 or 86, you need to find out where the shots are actually going.

Track three rounds: fairways, greens, saves, putts, first-putt distance and penalties. Once you can see the pattern, you can put your practice time into the part of your game that needs it most.

That’s where I’d start with a player who wants to shoot in the 70s consistently.

Most people will ignore their grip and believe it has nothing to do with their swing issues! They are foolish... do the basics right first then yiu can focus on the rest!
