The project will be infused with initial capital and leadership by James W.

Many cyclists in Scottsdale working various angles to build a 250M outdoor, sun shade covered, velodrome in Scottsdale, and be fully operational and open to the public. After many years of various parties sincerely attempting to build a velodrome in Arizona, this page formalizes the intent to build a 250M outdoor, open-air track with the use of "shade sails" in summer for year-round use. No new updates... still giving information to developer in Scottsdale that Velodrome could be part of their development. I get many requests for updates... unfortunately, this is not at a stage where there is anything new to report on a regular basis. We have talked with a developer and their current plans make sense for a velodrome to be part of. That is the current direction things are going. If that route hits a snag, the original plan of seed money being given by FASTER, seeking out support in the cycling community of Phoenix for land zoned properly, and financing via donation and loan would be next. Keep the rubber side up. James
