We will be having another Rimfire Fun Shoot on Sunday, September 13th, weather permitting. If there is light rain, we will shoot since we have covering. If there are thunderstorms, we will cancel.

Again, you will shoot steel targets at ranges out to 100 yards. We will also be timing each round this time (roughly 2 minutes) to add a little more challenge to the game. Like before, each position will have several targets and ranges to shoot at. All stages will be 10 shots (50 rounds total).

We recommend sighting your rifle in at 50 yards and using quality target ammo. Equipment allowed: Any .22 LR rifle (No magnums or .17 cals.), sandbags, backpacks, and attached bipods. Bringing a good pair of binoculars helps you find the targets and identify hits. We recommend having extra magazines if your gun uses them. If not, don’t worry. We’ll adjust things so you can reload if necessary. There will be a mandatory safety meeting at the 200/300 Yard Range at 1:00pm. Shooting will begin after the meeting. You may also want to bring a lawn chair since there are limited places to sit.

CPL Class

The Fin & Feather Club will be holding a CPL Class September 4 & 5, 2026. The class on September 4th, will be from 6 to 9 PM and all day on September 5th. The cost is $50 for club members and $100 for non club members. Contact Jim Glover at 231 907-8330 to register. You must be registered in order to take the class.
