The next few weeks are packed with action as several of our Anthracite FC squads hit the road to compete! We can't wait to see our teams showcase their hard work, battle against top competition, and continue igniting excellence on the pitch.

Best of luck to our girls, U12 Wolfsburg & U14 Barca, heading out for the first tournament weekend of the stretch!

📅 August 29–30 | Gettysburg Battlefield Blast

A massive weekend ahead with U9 Red Devils, U10 Juventus, U12 Liverpool, & U13 Roma making the trip to Gettysburg!

📅 September 5–6 | The Lou Ramos International Classic

Closing out the early-season stretch with U10 Cityzens, U12 Milan, & U14 Ajax battling it out in Allentown!

Weekend Recap | Milan Boys U12

A competitive weekend for Milan with three different challenges and plenty of lessons along the way!

Milan opened the weekend with a 3–2 victory over KOSA, battling through a close match and finding a way to get the result. 💪

The team followed it up with another exciting win, defeating Philly SC 4–3 in a high-scoring contest that required resilience and determination from start to finish. 🔥

Milan finished the weekend with a tough 1–5 loss to FC Delco White Conshy. While the result wasn’t what we wanted, games like this provide valuable opportunities to learn, compete, and identify areas for continued growth.

Two wins, one tough lesson, and a weekend full of competition. Proud of the effort and looking forward to getting back to work! ⚽

Weekend Recap | Santos Boys U13

A solid first weekend out for Santos! 🔴⚫️⚪️

The boys took to the pitch for three games in their debut weekend as an 11v11 squad. Santos wrapped up with 2 losses and 1 win. They embraced the opportunity to learn, compete, and build their chemistry as a newly formed squad.

The team is learning each other's strengths, defining their roles, and dialing in their overall style of play. Early-season weekends like this provide the perfect chance to be tested against live competition. They allow for the team to see what’s working, identify exactly where improvements are needed, and use those experiences to continue building.

Camaraderie is just as important off the field as it is on the field. The Santos boys and their families spent some time getting to know each other better with a trip to Topgolf for some well-deserved team bonding and fun.

We are incredibly proud of the efforts that Santos put forth, and are excited to see this group learning and growing as the season progresses!

Weekend Recap | Ajax Boys U14

What a weekend of competition and learning for Ajax! 👏

Ajax battled to a 2–1 victory over SJEB ECRL in a back-and-forth match that challenged the team from start to finish.

The team then put together a strong performance against Philly SC Blue, earning a 6–1 win and showing great attacking confidence.

Ajax finished the weekend with a tough 1–7 loss to Penn Alliance Select. The result highlighted an important area for growth as the team struggled with the increased pace and intensity of the game.

Overall, it was a valuable weekend of competition. Three games, different challenges, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. The goal isn’t just to win games—it’s to continue developing players who can handle higher levels of speed, pressure, and intensity.

Our players and coaches were excited to reunite last week for Week 1 of team camp as they head into the fall season. Week two has begun and our teams are working hard to prepare for their league games, which will begin next month.

We'd like to wish three of our boys teams the best of luck at the FC Delco Spirit KickOff Classic this weekend (Aug 15 & 16). Milan (Boys U12), Santos (Boys U13), and Ajax (Boys U14) will be competing against teams from all over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions in their first tournament of the season.

Our teams are back on the pitch gearing up for the fall with pre-season camp. They're putting in the work and sharpening their skills so they can start the season fully prepared to take on their opponents!

Meanwhile, our High School and Showcase players are working hard and getting ready to represent their schools for what's sure to be another exciting season of school soccer!
