GAME NIGHT 📸 GIRLS ALL-STAR PHOTO DUMP

A great Monday night at Marywood as the top seniors from the LIAA and WVC faced off in the 2nd NEPA Hoops Girls Senior All-Star Game.

Team WVC earned a 79-62 win, with strong performances on both sides throughout.

The LIAA jumped out early, but WVC responded with a strong run to take control and build a halftime lead. LIAA battled back in the second half to cut it close, but WVC answered again late with key shots and defensive pressure to pull away down the stretch.

Kate Reed (Nanticoke Area) led all scorers with 17 points, earning WVC MVP honors and also winning the 3PT Contest (10 makes in 45 sec).

Ruby Martin (Honesdale) was named LIAA MVP after finishing with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, the only of the game.

WVC WINS ALL-STAR GAME!
Kate Reed from Nanticoke led the way Monday night as the Wyoming Valley Conference defeated the Lackawanna Interscholastic Athletic Association, 79-62, in the second annual NEPAGirlsHoops Senior All-Star Game at Marywood University.
Reed was named her team's Most Valuable player after scoring a game-high 17 points. Playing for her high school coach, Ed Grant, she made all four of her shots from inside the arc and half of her six attempts from 3-point range to finish 7-for-10 overall.
Honesdale's Ruby Martin was the MVP for the LIAA with the game's only double-double. She had 16 points and 10 rebounds, six of which came on the offensive end.
The WVC went ahead in the first four minutes and stayed there.
