When I say “jazz hands..”. This is what it means! Lol!

I know it's a tough day everyone. It'll be ok. We miss all of you. Anyone who says "It's just a recital" doesn't get it. But as long as you are safe and healthy, that's what matters most. Remember your favorite moments and performances. Share them with us! We'd love to hear them. We are right there with you. This is the biggest part of the year for the teachers too. Every dance is "our" dance. Not just a couple. To have you, the dancers, bring life to our creation, is magic to us. We love and miss you all.

Good Morning Dancers and Families! Seaford Dance Center Has 3 high school seniors this year. Since we have no idea what's to come in the few weeks, I thought I would share their bio's that would normally be in the program.

Shelby VanSciver- University of Delaware. Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education. She hopes to be a K-2nd grade teacher to inspire and teach children and prepare them for their future.

Adrianne Smith-Elizabethtown College. Majoring in actuarial sciences and minoring in business administration.

Brianne Smith- East Tennessee State University. Majoring in Dental Hygiene.

We send our congratulations, and best wishes for their happiness and success!! We will miss you!!

To our dancers, their families and my dance teacher friends.
it’s a tough time for the dance teachers right now, and our students. This is our “season.” We are typically preparing for the finale’ of our year. Costumes pictures programs preparations
Lots of details and tweaking of dances. The dancers are getting excited and nervous. Parents are ready to see what their children have accomplished. If you are in the studio, you can feel it in the air. If you know a teacher, it’s in your home.. the feathers, sequins, glitter, music, props, stress.
It’s different this year.. but it’s all still good. We worked hard all year. We learned a lot. At some point we will share what we have done. It might be when we planned.. it might be some other time. But it doesn’t take away the fact that you worked hard and learned something! It’s been a good dance year for us. We miss our students and dance families! Our “normal” will return. Until then.. practice and stretch. Know that we miss you.

Since we can’t be together, in support of world Down syndrome day, let me see those crazy socks!!

Come see some of Seaford Dance Center performers on December 2nd at the Caroling on the circle event! 7pm!! Come celebrate with us and our community!

Well.. teaching with one foot (and one week of no voice) proved how amazing my students are! They have really stepped up. I’m so proud of them. And super blessed to have them!
