🏆 1ST ANNUAL BOS ELITE 8 KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT CHAMPS🏆

A great weekend for MVP South Shore with both of our Varsity teams reaching the Boys of Summer elite 8 Championship. Huge shoutout to MVP South Shore White on an outstanding run and earning their 1 seed spot in the championship game.

In the end, MVP South Shore Showcase came out on top — battling through the losers bracket and winning four straight games to claim the championship.

The story of the weekend was the pitchers🔥:

30 IP | 43 K | 7 R | 4 ER | 0.90 ERA | .140 OPP AVG

Dominant from start to finish. Our arms attacked the zone, competed, and gave us a chance to win every time we took the field.

Jermani Buchanan (Freeport HS | 2027 RHP) has committed to University of Mount Saint Vincent to continue his academic and athletic career.

A newcomer to South Shore this year, Jermani came to us looking for an opportunity to showcase his abilities in front of college coaches and earn a chance to play at the next level. From day one, he put in the work and made the most of every opportunity in front of him.

What stood out just as much as his ability on the mound was the type of teammate he became. Jermani is the definition of a team-first guy—one of the best teammates you could ask for, always supporting the guys around him and doing whatever was needed for the team.

Catcher Gianfranco Millocca (Monsignor McClancy HS | 2027) commits to St. Josephs Brooklyn to continue his academic and athletic career.

Gianfranco is the definition of first guy in, last guy out. Whether it’s in the gym, at practice, or getting extra work on his own, his tremendous work ethic and dedication to improving have never gone unnoticed.

Beyond the work ethic, Gianfranco is the ultimate teammate. The type of player who puts the team first, brings energy every day, and makes everyone around him better.

He’s earned every bit of this opportunity, and we couldn’t be more excited to see all that hard work pay off.

Then Brian Lynch (MacArthur 2027) followed it up with one of the furthest balls you’ll ever see at Lasorda — an absolute missile that hit the top of the cafeteria. 🚀🤯

The shots helped power MVP SOUTH SHORE 17U (Fiore) to an 8-1 victory over USG at the Lasorda All-American Classic Showcase.

#6 MVP South Shore (Sammy) 16U battled back to defeat #1 MVP South Shore (Manno) 16U, 8-5, to capture the Boys of Summer 16U League Championship! 🔥

Couldn’t ask for a better finish — two teams from the same program competing against each other for a league title and leaving everything on the field.

Proud of every player and coach on both sides for representing MVP SOUTH SHORE the right way.

Every team. Postseason bound. ⚾️

A lot of credit goes to our entire coaching staff. The time, preparation, communication, and commitment these guys put into their teams goes far beyond what anyone sees on game day.

Having every MVP South Shore team earn a spot in the Boys of Summer playoffs is something we’re extremely proud of. It’s a reflection of the work our coaches and players have put in all summer and the standard we’re continuing to build as a program. It’s not just a lucky draw for a tournament weekend. This is an every day grind.

Proud of our staff. Proud of our players. Now it’s time to finish the job. 🏆

Colby Grzelaczyk turned heads at this past weekend’s 17U Perfect Game Northeast World Series, earning Top Performer recognition after showcasing an impressive four-pitch mix highlighted by an 87 MPH fastball. 🔥

The rising sophomore continues to build on an outstanding year after being selected to Axcess Baseball’s Up Next Series and earning All-County honors during his spring season.

One of Long Island’s top 2028 arms is just getting started. 📈
