I'm really looking forward to this Saturday! I'm proud to be a part of Rise Above, where we're working with a fantastic team of coaches to make a positive impact on a larger group of youth. September 30th, also known as Orange Shirt Day! It’s the day for Truth & Reconciliation.

Please take the time to learn more about indigenous people on this day (every day).

I continue to learn and understand the impact this period of time has had on our families and communities. Even though, my mother, grandparents and other family members where survivors of residential schools. Very little was ever spoken during my child hood. When stories where shared you felt the pain in there voices.

Thank you for everything you both taught me, love you Kokum and Mosom.
