Our theme for summer 2025 is observation of the nervous system. What are the conditions that need to be met, for me to feel deeply at peace in my body? This weekend is an opportunity to sit with this exercise. When we take the seat of the observer we build our relationship to intimacy with our own lives.
Let this be light! Be curious. Fun. Not heavy.

Hi Friends! here 👋
This summer, I'm offering meditation exercises to pair with our physical asana practices in the park. If you like, read the suggestions below for how to prepare the body for class through deep listening. Throughout the summer, we are sitting with some important questions.
Where do I feel most at home?
When does my nervous system feel most at peace?
What are the conditions that need to be met in order for my soul to enter this state?
Deep Listening Exercise prior to Saturday's class.
Deep listening is connected to the throat chakra. The highest form of listening includes giving the other person your full attention. Directed internally, we give ourselves our full attention. As we make our way to class on Saturday, I would love for us to turn our attention to the inner ear. Listen to the way your feet connect to the gravel path, to the wind as it moves through the trees, to the water of the stream next to you, to the way your body moves over the grass to meet the group. Soften the inner ear and allow sounds of nature around you to permeate your soul, inviting them in.

Summer Solstice 2025 - This is such a beautiful time of year. We welcome cancer season, leo season, the water element, the solar cycle, and we honor the summer solstice portal which occurs on June 20th. You may feel this heightened energy a few days or even a week prior to the 20th. The magnetism of these long, radiant days can feel depleting and overwhelming to us, unless we structure our experience in a way that harnesses its potential.
The solstice portal is an opportunity to pivot and launch a trajectory that is different than previous patterning. Slow down and pull your senses inward. Tune in to your root level creative vibration. Channel the intuitive flow that is brimming up to the surface this month.
This may look like taking some time to yourself to assess anything that is unnecessarily lingering: patterns, people, things, structures in your life that may represent an outdated version of yourself. We are all growing and changing, honor that cycle.
This could look like immersing yourself in the lake or forest or a bath as a way to connect to the water element and water's direct path to sacred creation.
This could look like a walking meditation, an eating meditation or just simply finding a quiet spot to sit for a few minutes.

Hi everyone! LOTS of new faces here - I wanted to take this opportunity to say hello 👋 and introduce myself and my style of teaching.
YOGA
I teach a Gentle Slow Flow Yoga as taught by Shiva at her Samudra Global School of Living Yoga in Santorini, Greece, Venice Beach, Malibu, California and New York City, New York. I've been teaching yoga for over 20 years and live in Seattle, Washington. I am the creator of $5 Yoga In The Park at the Bellevue Downtown Park! RETREATS
My retreats feel like a warm embrace, a weighted blanket, a deep exhale in these energetically volatile times. With twice daily gentle movement and nourishing food, we slow down and feel a deep peace in the nervous system. When we access these deeper states of peace, we experience the opportunity for clarity and expansion. We can look in the mirror and see exactly what needs to shift. We will enjoy slow flow vinyasa infused with breathwork and energetic work in light of the chakras, the seasons, and the elements of our direct environment. My hope is that I can extend the practices and tools that allow gentle movement to nourish and calibrate our lives in the way it has for me over the last 20 years.
AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE
My style of teaching also offers accessible functional medicine tools for those with autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases are an over-rotation of the immune system and often the nervous system such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, hashimoto's disease, type I diabetes, and vitiligo among others. Yoga has helped me understand and take steps to heal my own autoimmunity, fatigue and inflammation.
