We’re excited to welcome world class BJJ competitor Jack McVicker to our mats for a special BJJ seminar Saturday, May 16th.

Jack is 5th degree black belt under legendary instructor Megaton Dias. He’s been actively competing for over 20 years and is a 6x World Master Champion, 14x Pan Jiu Jitsu Champion, 19x World No Gi Champion and a 9x European Open Champion.

Open to all - come learn, ask questions and get better.

Another in the books! Our team showed some great fight and resilience - lots of lessons learned as always. Huge congrats to those that brought home some hardware and props to all for stepping on the mats to represent the Zoo and test themselves. Over the weekend we celebrated something very special - individuals who have basically been training since was first started 10 years ago. To celebrate we had several upper belt promotions, including 1 brown belt and 4 black belts who have consistently showed up day after day, trusting the process and pushing through not only the challenges of the art itself, but life in general. Earning a black belt in BJJ is tough to say the least. There’s no off season. Most people quit in the first year. 10 years of constant grind, discipline, resilience and character forged on the mats… and hopefully a little fun 😁 Proving consistency is king.

Congrats to our adult competitors who competed this past Saturday at The Rev 55!!! We were small but mighty, placing in 5 out of 6 brackets. Special shout out to all the teammates who came to support, the team who helped get them ready and for his time getting everyone prepared and solid coaching.
