Good Day, I was wondering if you had any experience with adjusting SRAM Automatix shifting point (increase shifting point to a higher speed) by reducing they weight of the centrifugal weights(drilling a small hole in each of them)?
Thanks for the quick tune up, brake cable replacement, tire work! Rode great on the way back home. Great work and experience. I'll be coming there regularly, guys.
The most qualified bicycle mechanics in Seattle unless it is the internal geared hub, in which case, A.B.R. is recognized and respected for the complex repairs, rebuilds for their hub.
Hi Aaron. What would be the best way to find information about biking a few miles in Seattle? We are flying in from Minnesota and need to bike a few miles in the state of Washington. Since we'll be in Seattle prior to a cruise, we thought we would check out the Lime bikes and put on a few miles. What would be the safest route for us? Any routes near the airport? I do have the wonderful Seattle 2017 bike map as a guide but am unfamiliar with Seattle. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hey there!
I have a 1940’s-1950’s? Colson Adult Trike (Project), for Sale!
I’m downsizing to an apt, and don’t have space for it. I had gotten it with the desire to restore it, and use it in the Deadbaby Downhill 2018.
Would you want to purchase it? Or would you know of anyothers that would maybe want it?! I’m only asking $100 for it, as is. I’ve tried Craigslist, Facebook, Instagram, but I don’t think it’s getting the views from the certain niche needed!
I can bring it up to your shop for you to take a look if you’d like. Just let me know! Thanks for your time!
Bradi J.
Thanks for the beautiful ride this morning, first one in two years, she performed wonderfully.
This perfect day brought to you by Aaron’s Bicycle. Thanks for getting my bike on the road!
Just finished our Crater Lake bike tour. Thank you for working on my brakes! I needed them!😜

We are a mechanic's shop. Get it done right the first time. We value honesty and want you to ride your bike, so fixing it as perfect as humanly possible is our goal!

We close from 2-3pm weekdays for lunch, Tu-F
We do NOT take lunch on Saturday.

We just rebuilt this early '80s Schwinn 10-Speed. It is neon green powder coat by #salishcycles. Upgrades included platform pedals, modern ergonomic brake lever, better handlebar tape and an ergonomic saddle. It sold 5 minutes after we finished it. But we could make another!

Aaron's "new" Rivendell Bleriot. Customizations done by CycleFAB, new eccentric BB shell (Bushnell from R+E Cycles) and a re-raked fork for better handling with a loaded front pack (basket). Thanks to Adam at Now You're Finished for the custom Lowrider metal flake topped off with rainbow sparkle! This bike must be seen in direct sunlight for the ultimate WOW factor. This is not your grandpa's metal flake! Digital pictures do not do it justice. Other upgrades include Velo Orange fenders, professionally mounted with a proper length leather mud flap. Drum brakes front and rear by Sturmey-Archer for the ultimate no-drag and low maintenance and painted rims to match! Oh, and the Pacenti/Pannaracer tires are tubeless.

We can fix any bike, including electric bikes and bike-like vehicles, scooters, etc.

We have a 10 foot social distancing rule in our shop to protect our employees. We will sanitize your bike before returning it to you. There is often a wait outside, and again, we are working as fast as we can!

Idaho stop - Wikipedia

Some non-COVID-19 news! This is really good news for bike safety!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idaho_stop

IT goes into effect on October 1st

en.wikipedia.org The Idaho stop is the common name for a law that allows cyclists to treat a stop sign as a yield sign, and a red light as a stop sign.[1] It first became law in Idaho in 1982, but was not adopted elsewhere until Delaware adopted a limited stop-as-yield law, the "Delaware Yield", in 2017.[2] In 2018,...

Send Gov. Inslee an e-message | Governor Jay Inslee

Here is the letter we sent to the elected officials. If you agree bike shops are essential businesses in a crisis please let them know as well.

Dear Exceutive Constantine and Mayor Durkan,
(this same letter was also submitted to Governor Inslee on the online form
https://www.governor.wa.gov/contact/contact/send-gov-inslee-e-message)

If and when you decide to lock-down or shelter in place the city, county or state,
PLEASE exempt bicycle shops!

We are essential transportation infrastructure just like gas stations and auto repair shops.

Many people rely on bike shops to keep their bikes running, especially the under served and poor. In the past few days since the restaurant and bar shut-down we have seen a huge spike in repairs. Yesterday, a normally slow Tuesday, my shop was slammed with flat tires and general check-ups. People are brining their bikes out like no spring before.

And with all Schools closed children need access to safe activities.
Riding is a bike is a naturally self-socially distancing activity!

Please follow Philadelphia's lead on this where bicycle shops are considered essential.

[03/18/20]   Bicycle Shops should be considered essential services like gas stations and auto repair. People need bikes to get around while social distancing. People are afraid to take the bus and Uber/taxis. We are taking extra sanitary precautions during our day to day operations. Today, a normally slow day in bike shops, but today we were busier than a Saturday in July. We did mostly bike safety checks and small repairs and sold tubes. We also sold one bike to a woman that did not want to take the bus. Riding a bike is safe, healthy and the most effective way to social distance yourself other than driving alone, which as we all know is destroying the planet.
