Yoga is more than movement. It's a practice of presence. 🤍

Get a glimpse into Ariel's Friday class, where breathwork, mudras, intentional sequencing, and the philosophy of yoga are woven into every practice. Her classes invite you to slow down, connect inward, and explore yoga beyond the poses.

Whether you're looking to deepen your practice or simply carve out an hour to reconnect with yourself, Ariel creates a space that is thoughtful, grounding, and welcoming.

✨ Thinking about trying yoga but don't know where to start?

If you've ever felt intimidated walking into a yoga class, wondered if you're "flexible enough," or wished someone would slow down and explain what's actually happening, this series was created for you.

Intro to Yoga 1: Foundations of Movement
🗓 Saturdays | August 8–29
🕜 1:30–3:30 PM

This four-week series is designed for complete beginners, students returning to yoga after time away, or anyone wanting to build a stronger foundation. Rather than simply memorizing poses, you'll learn why we move the way we do and develop the confidence to join regular yoga classes.

Week 1: Mobility & Movement Foundations
We'll focus on preparing your body for movement by improving mobility in the feet, ankles, calves, hips, shoulders, and spine. You'll learn practical exercises, foot strengthening, gentle twists, and myofascial release techniques you can continue practicing at home. We'll also introduce you to yoga props like blocks, bolsters, blankets, and myofascial release balls.

Week 2: Breaking Down Sun Salutation A
We'll slow down one of the most common yoga sequences and explore each posture and transition individually. Using chairs, walls, and props, you'll learn proper alignment while building strength and confidence.

Week 3: Sun Salutation B
We'll review what you've learned before introducing Sun Salutation B and additional standing postures. You'll continue learning modifications and how to move safely and intentionally through each pose.

Week 4: Putting It All Together
We'll combine everything you've learned into a flowing practice while continuing to refine your mobility and alignment. You'll leave with practical tools for practicing at home and the confidence to attend beginner-friendly yoga classes.

This series is intentionally small and interactive, giving you plenty of opportunities to ask questions, receive personalized guidance, and move at your own pace.

✨ Perfect for:
• Brand new yoga students
• Anyone returning after a break
• Those wanting to improve mobility and body awareness
• Anyone looking to feel more confident in a yoga class

You don't need to be flexible to begin. You simply need a willingness to learn.

We'd love to help you take your first step. 💚

A little update from me. 💛

After a lot of thought, I've decided to cancel the classes I was scheduled to teach this Fourth of July weekend.

Since taking over Yoga on Beacon back in January, it's been an incredible six months. Between running the studio, teaching, and working my full-time job, it's been a season of pouring into this community—and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I also just returned from a couple of weeks in Florida caring for my grandmother, and I've realized it's time to take a brief pause and refill my own cup. As yoga teaches us, rest is just as important as movement.

The good news is the studio is still open, and all of our other regularly scheduled classes are happening this weekend! I hope you'll come support our amazing teachers and get your practice in.

Thank you for your understanding and grace. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I truly appreciate your support. I'll be back on the mat and can't wait to see you all next week (starting Monday)!

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and restorative holiday weekend. ❤️🤍💙
