Here goes the warehouse sale schedule through May of 2027. Since we can’t control time, weather, or power outages all of these dates are subject to change, cancellation, or postponement. 📏📐🎨 by fern

The warehouse sale is ON! We apologize for the earlier message- we have decided to put everything outside while the warehouse airs out. Please come by!

This is news we don’t want to share. The heavy rains flooded the warehouse. We have to cancel the sale to devote resources to remediation. If you would like to volunteer, please stop by. If you want to shop, we are sorry, we have to cancel. It is not safe to let the water stand in our workspaces.

Super cool to meet up with Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda at High Point this afternoon. The BikeMobile was onsite providing free and sliding-scale repair services to kids and adults, ensuring the bikes they ride are safe and mechanically sound. Each year the Community Resources team at Bike Works repairs hundreds of bicycles and gives away hundred of bicycles, ensuring neighborhoods without bike shops are supported.

Twice a year Recycle and Reuse staff tackle the spent tire piles behind the shop and warehouse. That day came earlier this week. Once the van was loaded up with 984 tires (.58 tons) we went on a whirlwind PDX trip to responsibly recycle half a year’s worth of no-good, dirty, rotten & dusty tires. Receipt attached for the curious. $290 to recycle the contaminated rubber, plus gas and a coupla dogs. Back in time for breakfast.

The Bike Works bike shop is but one way we recirculate old-but-still-good materials back into the Seattle Bicycle Ecosystem. We’re open every day but Wednesday.
