20 years ago we work up to a world changed after an unimaginable breach to our collective safety. We reached out and supported one another. My heart goes out to the victims of 9/11, their families and my sisters and brothers that have and continue to serve this country.

Healing is a life long process of hard work, faith, community and support. I was 18 when I joined the military and then deployed to Germany. That work helped me find the path to who I am today. I am so happy I made it through seven edits. I had lots of well read eyes go over each page. It was very painful for me to write this book.
