What an EPIC summer! From Star Wars and Ninja Camp to Harry Potter, Secret Agent, Avengers & more, our campers learned more than just how to have an awesome time—they took their first steps in karate!
Many campers earned their Memory Stripe by learning to count 1–10 in Japanese, and some even earned their Bronze Stripe! 💪
🔥 And those stripes carry over!

🥋 SHUDOKAN BLACK BELTS — WE NEED YOU!
Our Black Belt Tests are this Friday, August 28 at 6 PM at Emerald City Karate!
We’ll begin with Shodan, Nidan & higher Dan testing, followed by a large group of Shodan Ho candidates taking on the challenge of earning their black belts.
I’m calling on Shudokan black belts to come join our judges panel! Share your experience, offer insights, and help our students become even stronger martial artists as we celebrate this huge step in their journey.
I’ll also be heading back to Japan soon to teach at Roots Karate Dojo in Yokohama, so this is a great chance to come help with the test and visit before I leave. 🇯🇵
