Becoming a PADI Rescue Diver involves an investment in oneself and an expansion of one’s comfort zone. Through the experience you will learn to be aware of yourself, the environment, and another diver. You learn to be prepared for, prevent, and respond to diver emergencies. We call it the most rewarding class, because it provides divers with confidence and comfort in their future dives. Divers can find out what their strengths and weaknesses are in an emergency and develop strategies to contribute to emergency situations and respond with CPR, First Aid, AED and Emergency Oxygen use. This past weekend these three divers finished their performance requirements and many already certified PADI Rescue Divers got to review the program to keep their skills sharp. Thanks to everyone who attended this past week and weekend, it feels great to have more PADI Rescue divers in the world.

This month’s PADI Drysuit Diver course had sunshine to celebrate their completed open water dives. We always recommend learning how to dive a drysuit from a professional as soon as you can in the Pacific Northwest. The drysuit training enables you to be safer and more comfortable in diving around the Seattle area and abroad. You can even learn how to dive a drysuit during your PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course. Lastly, the certification allows you to rent suits before deciding to buy one. Call us at 2063623310 for question regarding drysuit training.

Even though visibility was a bit challenging, these divers brought their energy and camaraderie this weekend to the shop dive at Mike’s Beach Resort in Hood Canal. Everyone had a great time exploring a dive site they hadn’t been to before. Practicing navigation, search patterns, and buddy contact are things that are important when diving a new site. We also had a delicious time due to the fabulous variety of food provided by everyone. Good food, good diving and good conversation. What a great way to spend a beautiful day!
If you want to join our next shop dive, call us at 206/362-3310 to be added to the roster.
