That’s a wrap!
What a trip this has been onboard the Aggressor Belize IV. We started with 19 guests but unfortunately 2 had to return home early due to a family emergency. Of the remaining 17, all but one were divers. 10 earned the coveted “Iron Diver” award, which was particularly difficult on this charter due to the fact that they had to complete all 40 dives over the course of 8 days. Yes, you are doing the math correctly. That’s 5 dives per day!
We had other milestones like a birthday and a 100th dive. We also had fun reminding divers to do their checks with the “Chicken” award. If you forgot to turn on your air or attach your regulator before putting on your kit, you had to do the dive with a rubber chicken attached to you. We were all good sports about it and it is a teaching moment with a fun consequence. Instructors Rachelle and Atina have been given permission by the Aggressor captain to implement it in our teaching/diving. So watch out!
We leave tomorrow to head back home with our hearts full, our legs eaten by mosquitoes, tummies satisfied, and our eyes looking forward to the next dive trip!
