Beautiful big group with a big appetite for the latest and greatest Tasty Lil Adventure Ride- the June Full Moon drew us out and up the Carbon River via mostly paved regional trails and some charming low key local roads. Our climbing began in earnest when we left the Foothills Trail and wound our way into Wilkeson where we ducked onto an old coal cart alignment turned double and singletrack. Snacks & laughs, hoots & hollers predominately filled the air as we passed under the closed Fairfax bridge. Closed to cars, we fanned out and luxuriated our way into the backcountry and into the Mount Rainer National Park. Like clockwork, we were met with towering Douglas Firs, Giant Cedars, and elder Hemlock. The hike-in bike-in only road to Ipsut Creek saw lots of recent improvements before the bridge closure. The conditions were prime for our group of 27riders to take over the campground. The long day made for happy & hungry faces as we settled into our comforts & boxed wine. The full moon would hide behind the towering valley walls all night, leaving the stars to blanket the skies. At daybreak, a few of us made the hike upriver to peek at the glacial snout, the day was promising majestic blue skies. Many in the group opted for a “low cut” sun dappled route, closely following the Carbon River and avoiding a 1700ft climb (with grand views). Turning the pedals on the return route was made easy by the gentle downward trending roads and stoke among the group. The mountain accepted us and we were buzzing with delight. 10/10 would recommend folks find themselves at Ipsut Creek campground for this relatively straightforward overnight route. The juice is worth the squeeze. Let’s go, summer!!

The Tasty Lil Ride Series collection is now available in its current entirety as a Collection. Lots to see & do, including the most recent Island Vibes series. The series began as a training block for the winter event, cuz you can never be too prepared for whatever that day & course will throw at you. From there, it grew to include worthy deep gems from the front door during the pandemic. The newest Island Vibes will have you discover the wonders of nature down by the water. These routes are perfect for locals and visitors to the region. The collection is alive and sees some additions about every season. Collect them all! And let us know what you think, comment here or in the routes themselves. ¡Viva la bicicleta!

We’ve been cooking up heckin’ fun bikes for a long time now. That experience transcends these tiny screens and the insta likes and the comments section. A big part of the origin story for the Lost Highway collaboration was being a part of the first batch 10 years ago. If you were there for the 1.0, you’ll remember how special it was before it became a literal s**t show. Any while the kooks were actually kooking, we kept exploring and searching and discovering deeper connections with the forest and ancient byways for ways to connect with sacred places and the people who’ve inspired us. We became close friends and loved and learned to give back in meaningful ways. The Lost Highway is a place deep in Kitsap county. It’s a place the serves to remind us that we’re not special, merely fortunate to have inherited the offerings of those that came before us. And if we remember to look back, with gratitude, those lessons are alive and serve to benefit those that will come after us. If we’ve ever found ourselves out, cooked, bonked, stoned, cracked, living our best selves along the Lost Highway, then we done good. And with any luck, we’ll do it again. Maybe not! And that’s cool too ✌🏽

The collaborative design of the / Lost Highway is rooted around an all encompassingly capable road bike - nimble, stable, lightweight & limitless, all skillfully executed. Built around the Adventure Fork to complement the spry rear end, it all starts and finishes in a spirited manner. And that finish!!! Inspired by Cascadian Forest bathing at the golden hour 🤤. Unfinished logos for an evolving patina. More details in the pipe, but could not resist getting this 21lb dreamboat into your tiny screens. Come on down for the low down. Pre-orders going live by end-of-year. Oh dear.

We’re sending our colleague off to New England to ply her abundant skills in community building & cycling. She was generous to the entire Seattle cycling culture and we know that Martha’s Vineyard will be fortunate to have her. Simultaneously, she’s taking on this transition to help family members age in place. If you’ve been on the receiving end of her willingness and enthusiasm, let her know! It takes a lot these days, and we know she’s got it. Safe travels and many many smiles for miles, Jaws! 🫶🏽

Wowie Wow! We as a team are so incredibly grateful for all of the positive words and feedback we’ve been receiving from folks. We hear you!!! 😻
Every day we know we have a unique opportunity to serve and connect with people who depend on their bikes. Whether for essential transportation, work, recreation, quality time, healthy choices, or all of the above- we are compelled by our passion for bikes, people, and places. We also know that we won’t and cannot help everyone, but we can strive to do a little more and be a little better every day.
We also acknowledge those who have challenged us to be patient (how many of y’all came to us with a creaking in your Shimano cranks??). Through it all, we feel we’ve honed our skills and proficiencies to offer the best we have. Your kind words and safe journeys are no small part of the rewards we continue to receive after doing this for 12 years.
It’s gonna get dark and it’s gonna get wet, but we’ll stay pumped up (but not too much) and will be ready for you when you come looking for us. Thank You. Really and truly ✌🏽
