TONIGHT! Works In Progress R***e!
Friday, May 1st is our next Works In Progress, a night for circus artists to present unpolished demos in a low-pressure, come-as-you-are, encouraging environment. Imperfection is not only welcomed, but celebrated.
• Do you have a new skill from class you’re excited about? We want to see it!
• Are you new to performing, and curious about doing circus in front of an audience? Let us be your first audience!
• Maybe you have only a section of an act in development that you want to share. We want to see that unfinished work-in-progress!
Works in Progress is happening on Friday, May 1st, from 7:00-9:00pm in the Front Room. This is an entirely FREE event, whether you do a demo, or only watch. Guests are welcome (18+). From 6:30-7pm, the Loft is available for warm-ups. Demos will begin at 7pm, and wrap no later than 9pm.

Two people on a single rope demands some creativity and practice to move gracefully through the air. This workshop will give experienced aerialists some basic building blocks for rope partnering, such as 5 positions you can base from, ways of climbing and dropping together, as well as some practice working and communicating as a duo. No partner required for this workshop.
Prereqs: Experienced intermediate and above, with at least 1 year of experience on rope
Terry Crane has been practicing vertical rope since 2001, and performing and teaching rope for more than 15 years. He has taught workshops at the Fratellini Academy, FLIC Scuola in Torino, and across the United States in various circus schools and studios. He is a respected leader in dynamic rope technique and convoluted knot work on this apparatus. A growing number of his students have gone on to be accepted at the National Circus School of Montréal, where he also graduated in 2006. He regularly performs his own fiercely unique style of rope for his circus company Acrobatic Conundrum.
