I am not a dietician, nutritionist or personal trainer, I am a just someone who has struggled with my own health (hypothyroid, hashimoto's), self confidence, uncomfortable in my own skin but I have overcome my struggles and sharing with others what has worked for me as a certified FASTer Way to Fat Loss coach! I’m eating 1200 calories but I’m not losing weight...

Hashimoto’s can get frustrating when you’re working out like a mad woman and watching what you’re eating and see the scale not move or the needle go up! 🤦🏽‍♀️⁣

👉restricting calories AND/OR carbs significantly will put your body more into a state of stress, that’s why most women with Hashimoto’s can’t lose weight this way. It is NOT sustainable!⁣

Hashimoto's fatigue is unlike any other...invisible.⠀⠀⠀

I get so many DMs asking me how to ditch the fatigue. This is why I do what I do. You will always be tired if you do not change things and start supporting your thyroid.

Do you hate having a sweet tooth? 🍩🍫

Well hate no more! Here is a gooey chocolate mug cake that you can whip up in under 5 minutes! The best part is that this mugcake satisfies your craving for something sweet but also gives you some protein, fiber and healthy carbs in the process! Did you know pumpkin puree is a great substitue for oil in baked goods! Your welcome! Give this a try and SAVE the recipe! 🔖

Ingredients:
2 tbsp pumpkin purée
2 tbsp oat flour
2 tbsp protein powder (I use chocolate Active Stacks or Orgain)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp pumpkin spice + 1/4 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp chocolate chips (I use Lilly's mini dark chocolate chips)
2 tbsp non-dairy milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1-2 tbsp sweetener of choice (more or less depending on how sweet your protein is)

Spray a ramekin with non-stick spray. Mix everything together until dough forms and put into the ramekin. Then stir in the choc chips. Microwave for 60 seconds, check if done. Add 10 more seconds if needed.

I did the following to heal my thyroid....

Focusing on whole food nutrition was a game changer. Eating more real foods, lots of colors, quality proteins, and eat enough to nourish your body. Doing this consistently is going to go a long way in how you feel and how your thyroid functions.

Finally saying NO to fad diets or "quick fixes" that literally did me no favors. Under eating, eliminating carbs or other food groups pretty much gave me Hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's because I paired my starvation diets with over exercising and that destroyed my thyroid, hormones and metabolism. Thanks for nothing Weight Watchers!

I blame my damn thyroid!

I wanted to cry when my friend posted this photo….

These two pictures evoke so many emotions. I remember the exact day the photo on the left was taken. I remember cropping myself out of the photo before I posted it. I posted my girlfriends who I took the photo with but cut myself out. I remember they all looked so cute but there I was, trying to suck in my stomach with a fake smile on my face. I kept asking myself what am I doing wrong? I was eating like a bird and exercising daily like a crazy woman?!?⁣

Fast forward to the picture on the right! I feel confident and so much more comfortable with my body. Have I reached my goal? No. But I have also learned to give myself time and grace to just be better than the day before. I'm no longer in a race and there is no finish line. It's all about progress NOT perfection. ⁣

I am so thankful for and for the freedom they have given me. Freedom to not be perfect. Freedom to not be valued by a number on a scale. Freedom to actually rest and and not workout daily. Freedom to eat and eat enough.⁣ 🙏🏽

With all of the inches I have lost, I have also gained. I have gained energy. I have gained lean muscle. I have gained amazing sleep habits. I have gained improvement in my thyroid function and hormone levels. Most importantly, I have gained a passion for helping women with hypothyroidism who feel stuck like I did.
