On Day 2 of the Spokane Regional games the UCONN Huskies faced the Oklahoma Sooners. With a great offensive showcase and a career night for Paige Bueckers the Huskies secured the 82-59 win and moved on to the Elite 8.

There Elite 8 opponent? The USC Trojans.

USC notched their spot with an all around team win against the Kansas State Wildcats. In a resilient 67-61 win their next challenge is the Huskies.

Paige Bueckers recorded a career high 40 points in the Sweet Sixteen.

Spokane Regional Madness! On day one of the Sweet Sixteen matchups the LSU Tigers battled against the NC State Wolfpack. In a gritty 80-73 win, LSU advanced to the Elite 8 behind Aneesah Morrows’ 30 PT 19 REB double-double.

Who’s their Elite 8 matchup? The Winner of Friday’s GM2 - the UCLA Bruins.

UCLA pulled away from the Ole Miss Rebels in the third quarter behind a strong performance by Lauren Betts. She recorded a double-double of her own with 31 PTS and 10 REBS.

The winner will punch their ticket to Tampa, FL for the Final Four.

🚨 According to Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times Jewell Loyd has requested a trade from the Seattle Storm.

This comes on the heels of finding out that the investigation into the coaching staff came back with no evidence of mistreatment. Loyd was reportedly “at the center of the Storm’s investigation.” Situation far from over in Seattle.

Seattle Storm took a commanding 90-66 win over the Phoenix Mercury in some Friday night hoops. It was a near perfect game for the Storm, who found their defensive stride early and it didn’t take long for their team ball and offense to propel them to a comfortable lead.

Seattle closed out their week long homestretch of three games against the NY Liberty; welcoming Breanna Stewart back to CPA. They had a good 23-9 run in the third quarter, but the Liberty used second chance shots in the fourth to climb ahead. Although Seattle took the 98-85 L, they clinched a playoff berth with Atlanta’s loss to the Aces.
