We're the Willamette Hurling Club based in Portland. Hurling is an awesome field game that's fast, rough, and a ton of fun. Come practice, play or cheer!
THE SPORT:
For those of you who think we play curling on ice, hurling is an Irish sport which combines skills from baseball, lacrosse, hockey, and soccer. It's a great way to get out, run around, get competitive, enjoy camaraderie, connect with your heritage (if you're Irish, but that's by no means required), and have some fun. COST:

What a day yesterday was for us on the pitch! Our four fierce fellows from WHC joined forces with Thomas Meagher Hurling Club and rocked it.
The squad took two out of three games, besting our friends from Seattle and Tacoma before dropping the final game to Columbia Red Branch.
Thank you to the Tacoma Rangers for hosting the Defiance Cup once again, and to our worthy opponents Seattle Gaels as well as Columbia Red Branch!
Looks like we're going to be getting 3 games in Tacoma this weekend:
10:00 AM vs Seattle
12:00 vs Tacoma
2:00 PM vs Red Branch
For those going, try to be up there by 9:00 so we can get warmed up with Montana.

Thanks to our pals from the Tacoma Rangers, today a couple of our WHC fellas got in on the hurling action at the Seattle Gaels’ annual Emerald City Cup.
Much obliged to The Devil’s Own lads for having us, and congratulations to the Gaels as they celebrate 40 fantastic years of Hurling, Gaelic Football, and Camogie!

In honor of Mother's Day, WHC will not holding practice tomorrow, May 12.
