June 8-16: McMinnville, OR // In the heart of Willamette Valley, lies McMinnville: a town defined by wine, sunshine, local food, wine, craftsmanship, and wine. Rolling hills of vineyards bordered by winding country roads leading to the red and brown brick facades of downtown give one the feeling they’ve fallen into Charles Wysocki’s daydream. A bounty of farm-to-table (and vineyard-to-glass) vittles make this charming town all the more dear to our hearts. // We’ll spend the week building kayaks in the cathedral-ceilinged wood shop of . A truly proper wood shop, where our host creates stunning bespoke furniture and fir window treatments so beautiful you question why you ever let vinyl into your home. Not to mention an impressive collection of clamps. // If the summer heat has arrived by mid-June, we’ll take a short drive to the coast to paddle our new kayaks in the estuaries of the unmatched Oregon Coast. Maybe we’ll catch a pint at Pelican Brewing before watching the sunset over the sea stacks. If you want a workshop that feels more like a summer vacation, McMinnville is for you. // Did we mention the wine? // Link in bio for registration info through our website! @ McMinnville, Oregon

September 26 - October 6: St. Michael’s, MD // If you’re going to find us east of the Mississippi, chances are good it’ll be on the banks of the Eastern Shore. Though mere Chesapeake novices 4 years ago, this historic boat-rich region has proven to be a perfect kayak nursery year after year. // Building in the boat shop of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, you’ll be surrounded by a myriad of water craft built and restored by the staff and volunteers. When the weekends draw in tourists, we become our own live-action exhibit as wide-eyed museum goers will marvel at what you are creating each day. // In the evenings, we’ll feast on local beer and blue crab in St. Michael’s charming old-school downtown. // Link in bio for registration info through our website! @ Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

September 7-15: Orcas Island, WA // Take the ferry to Orcas Island and, as they say, leave all your troubles behind. The San Juan Islands are a quintessential PNW experience. This archipelago holds a special place in the hearts of most who visit, and it doesn’t take much more than the 1-hr ferry trip through channels of SJI to see why. // We’ll be building on a beautiful farm-turned-campground a short 5-minute drive from Orcas’s largest town. The local, friendly vibe of Eastsound’s many small shops, restaurants and bars disguise the fact you’re in one of the top tourist destinations in Washington. We’re the first to admit: this workshop may just be an excuse for us to enjoy a week of PNW island life. Camp onsite and expect to enjoy many an evening campfire with your fellow students, and yours truly. // Plan an extra day or two for a post-workshop treat at Doe Bay’s iconic resort, complete with yurts, hyperlocal restaurant, and a clothing-optional soaking tubs and sauna. // Link in bio for registration info through our website! @ Eastsound, Washington
