Exhale... We live in a world obsessed with the external - with appearances, material possessions, "successes" and drama that everyone can see. Curated social media feeds have us aiming for the perfect a$$, a giant bankroll, a side hustle that goes viral overnight. $Billions in advertising tell us to buy, buy, buy even when we can't afford it.
None of this fills us up. As a society we are sicker than ever - suffering from anxiety, depression and addiction. Incidents of su***de are at all time highs for every age groups. Su***de for the under 15 age group nearly doubling between 2016-17.
We have BIG problems that need real solutions. You are the answer. Together, we are the answer.
Humans are created to thrive. Our physical bodies perform millions of miracles every second. We are becoming so separated from this beautiful intelligence inside us that we are too often withering and fighting and distraught.
We cannot return to thriving with the obsessed external focus. Inside work is what will bring us back to our truth. Inside work brings you back to your truth - the truth of a powerful, loving, connected being with unique capacity to contribute to life.
My newest work Meaning Maker Collective debuted last week on Instagram. is in the infant stage - becoming a gathering of real human beings and companies taking a different path. A path of meaning that includes inside work. Yes, inside work can be uncomfortable and is often unfamiliar. Meaning - understanding it, experiencing it, and knowing your personal picture of meaning - is a wonderful way to gently do the internal discovery to find your own peace and freedom.
Learning about meaning so you can see it in your own life energizes and liberates. Meaning makes life better. And meaning helps you know you so you can thrive as yourself. Meaning makers change the world!
