Feeding frenzy in my back yard.

I have not posted pictures for some time. However, that is about to change. I am feeding some Squirrels, Blue Jays, and Crows in my back yard. As soon as I get them to take peanuts from my hand, I will take a picture of it and post it. They all come when I call them, but they keep a friendly distance.

He was a German theologian and pastor who resisted the N**i regime and was executed for his involvement in a plot to assassinate Hi**er. He wrote several influential books and letters on Christian faith and ethics.

The library is no longer open for reading. It may have been ancient, but there was a time when each petroglyph told a complete story and there were those who knew how to read each volume and tell the story that was there for all to read and learn the meaning of all those words. These are the 60 surviving Petroglyphs on display at the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park, Vantage, WA. Originally, there were over 300 that were on display for all to read (about one-mile up river from the state park) for themselves; only 60 survived the flooding of the Wanapum Dam that buried the rest under water. Think of what has been lost because this library was shutdown (submerged) and think of what the Wanapum People (Sahaptin wánapam, meaning "river people") lost when their 10,000 year homeland was flooded over. It is a shame that what we call progress has to involve so much destruction.

These pictures were taken at the Wishram Overlook (WA 14, above Wishram, WA, and across the Columbia River from Celilo Village, ORE. The first picture is what Celilo Falls looked like (Heritage sign) before the Bonneville Dam was flooded. My photo is what is looks like now, Celilo Falls is now under water and it was where the first peoples used to fish for Salmon before the Bonneville Dam was flooded.
