Meet your 10/28 Date Night activity hosts! The event is open to all, not just cyclists, register please (link in bio)

Kick things off with Center For Bicycle Repair at 7pm with expert dating tips from coach Cora Boyd ♡ . Doors will open at 6:30.

Next, choose your own adventure in Chinatown. All these great businesses are within 2 blocks walking of the shop and excited to host you.

Once activities wrap up, come back to the shop for a debrief with Cora.

Why is a bike shop hosting a dating event?
In the same way that learning repair can transform your relationship with your bike, CFBR wants to demonstrate that love and connection can shape our perceptions of a neighborhood.

Some call it the “Sex in the City” effect: one reason US cities saw dramatic declines in violent crime in the early 90s was due to the sheer number of young people going on dates in cities. Not policing, but flirting.

In this case, everyone who contributes to this event is being paid for their work. Your participating funds them. In exchange, you get to discover new dates spots in Chinatown and get your chance for a meet cute in 2026.

Guests are asked to contribute $20, no one turned away for lack of funds.

The event is propoganda: collectively writing a story in Chinatown based on love and curiosity. We will be having too much fun to pay attention to the parts of the neighborhood that haters prefer to highlight.

This year, we’re lucky to host dating and relationship expert Cora Boyd. We hired Cora to share her dating wisdom on 10/28 in the shop. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.

Neighbor businesses will be hosting fun activities for guests on 10/28. There will be a chance to apply what you learn AND get feedback from Cora.

It’s not your average date night, you can still consider it a date night.

Suggested donation of $20/participant, which helps pay Cora, my neighbors and my rent.
