Today I’m reflecting from a quote from a podcast I listened to last week.
“We are most resilient in community”
It is often said that being a part of a community can provide individuals with support and resources that can help them to be more resilient in the face of adversity. Being connected to others can provide a sense of belonging and purpose, and can also provide practical assistance during difficult times.
Additionally, communities can provide a sense of shared identity and shared experience, which can help to alleviate feelings of isolation and helplessness.
How are you finding community today?

I’m not a cold weather person, but this scene never gets old. Especially when I’ve got a cup of coffee and I’m warm and cozy inside. ☺️
Sending you warm and cozy wishes!

We had a weekend! Yesterday the girls did some "feet painting" on an old shower curtain. Then I painted targets on it and today they got to use squirters to get it clean. Love these multi step activities!

This is the face I make when Thursday feels like
Not even 10:00 and the middle kid has puked, I missed 25 minutes of a 30 minute meeting, the baby spit up 3 times (each time after we finally got the last spot cleaned out of the carpet) and the big kid had a melt down over the wrong piece of scone and not wanting to wear clothes.
Oh yeah and thanks for the spiky baby hairs...
Bring it on Thursday!

I love the month of December. There is something so magical about the holiday season, the waiting, and knowing that newness is around the corner. Even in this wild year of 2020, where it feels like there is one obstacle and disappointment after another. I see people all around still doing what they can to find a little joy and magic, while they prepare for newness and change. The resilience is beautiful.
