TRi Monroe will no longer be taking place. The powers to be at USAT have decided to not come back to Monroe in 2023

I apologize for those that did not receive the email. I sent it through runsignup registration site which shows it was sent. I am posting the email below. I just completed the refunds today but please be patient as I don't know how long they take to actually process through the system. Thank you all.

Athletes, Parents, and Coaches,

It is with a sad heart that I regret to inform you that the 2020 Youth and Junior Elite Race at Tri Monroe is cancelled. Please know this has been a very difficult decision for us.

Unfortunately, Washington State will not be far enough along into the phased reopening process to allow large events Like Tri Monroe by the end of June. Postponing the race to a later date is not possible due to date conflicts and the uncertainty inherent in phased opening.

Producing a race of this size requires significant upfront expenses that are paid sometimes well in advance of the event. Because of this, generally speaking, races do not allow for refunding registration fees.

Though Tri-Monroe's policy states no refunds, we recognize that this is an unprecedented time. We have decided to waive our refund policy.

Tri Monroe will be offering a 50% refund of your registration (minus processing fees). No action is required on your part but please allow 3 weeks for these refunds to process.

I want to thank you for supporting our event and wish you good health and safety at this time. We hope to see you back racing with us in 2021.

We are sad to announce the 2020 race is cancelled. Washington State will not be allowed to have large gatherings due to the Covid-19 government shutdown. We will not be postponing to a later date as there are no dates available. We will see you in 2021.

Water temperature for Tri Monroe is hovering right around wetsuit legal. The temperature will be taken 1 hour prior to the start of each event.
