After facilitating 50+ workshops and trainings, there is something that I've noticed...
One training usually isn't enough to spark meaningful change.
Absorbing information and being interested in inclusion doesn't always lead to action.
One workshop or virtual training is a great way to get introduced to concepts, but I truly believe that continued learning and integration over a long period of time is a more effective way of committing to DEI work.
This is NOT a shaming post, but an invitation to review your own DEI efforts in your business.
Whether it is reading a book, taking a class, hiring a consultant, or reviewing your policies - it is a great time to continue this work and go beyond that single training!
If you attended a workshop in 2020 but have been wondering what to do next -start with my Intentional and Inclusive Language Free Training.
The link is in my bio and it will prompt you to make some changes in your marketing language!

My holiday gift for you has arrived 😍
Introducing my first ever free DEI resource - yay!!!
I created the Inclusive Marketing Language Guide for entrepreneurs who are ready to prioritize inclusion in their business.
When I facilitate workshops and trainings, inclusive language is something that comes up often. The truth is that being intentional about the language we use to market our business is important.
We have the power to make our community and clients feel like they belong and an opportunity to honor their intersecting identities.
Inside this free resource, you will find:
20 minute Inclusive Language Training Video
3 page PDF with definitions, examples and ideas for implementation
I know it is the end of the year and we are all tired BUT I think this widdle freebie is definitely worth your time.
Take a peek and let me know what you think! You can find the link in my bio or on stories!
xoxo

There's even a nice YouTube video to follow along with as well!
I am **planning** on releasing a new post every week, so make sure you are subscribed to my email list for all the juiciest details there.

Taking a break from “the gram” until September 🎉🎉🎉
My oldest lovely daughter is on vacation until mid-September, so I thought it would be a good time to take a breather.
Plus our babysitter is on vacation, so I have to give my full attention to my babies!
I do have a post scheduled later this week about my clients, but other than that, I will be pretty quiet over here. Not really checking DMs or replying to comments, so if you want to hire me - email me 😂👀
I obviously don’t have to tell you that I’m not here, but I’m still unlearning the constant “being on” mentality in my business. And I’m just happy to take a little break.
If you need assistance, shoot me an email at [email protected] or just wait for me to come back!
I’ve got ONE spot left in my 1:1 ACTIVATE program, I’d love to see you apply while I’m away. Reminder - this is a DEI, anti-racism, and inclusive leadership incubator ✨
see you all laters!

That's right, it's official! 🥳🥳🥳
I'm now an Inclusion Institute Certified Diversity Practitioner :)
Why does this certification matter? 🧐
😻For my community+ clients: More tools to serve you and create more ways to build equitable business growth. I learned A LOT in this program and when I learn, my clients blossom.
I have so many ideas and ways that I can serve my community, it felt like the perfect time to sharpen my skills and identify ways where I needed to be more inclusive. Now, I am excited to bring the best experience possible to those who choose to work with me :)
😻For me: Since graduating college, I haven't pursued any "continued learning" because I thought a lot of it was BS. I felt like a piece of paper/certificate wasn't as valuable as life/work experience.
But what I am learning is that BOTH help you grow. I have had a TON of valuable life and work experience (hello 350 people trained lol) but have never invested in myself quite like this. So, this certification shows growth and determination that I can finish what I start. I'm all in, baby!
I will be sharing why I chose this program and how I am applying my learnings to my business and new 1:1 program! I know I have been teasing it for about a month, but I will go live later this week to tell you all about it🙂

Saturdays are purely for fun, I decided it 🥳
As I slowly emerge out of my winter hibernation of barely being online and having some PPD struggles, I want to bring back the fun in Instagram.
So here’s 8 random facts about me:
📺 I’m a total reality tv lover. It’s not a guilty pleasure, it’s just a pleasure. Love after lockup, married at first sight, summer house are all on my DVR right now.
🍿 I love movies but can no longer sit through a night time movie without falling asleep. I’m out in the first 45 minutes 😭
💃🏽 I can’t dance for s**t. Like God forgot to put the rhythm dust into my body and I’m still bitter about it. But love to do dance workouts with the Peloton app and adored my time taking salsa lessons!
🥲 I don’t do well in large groups. I love around 10 people otherwise I get anxious and don’t want to interact with people
👟 I love sneakers! Catch me in a pair of AirMax 90s. I’m not a heel girl and I have 2 fashion flavors: 70s/boho in summer and athletic/sporty spice in every other season lol
⚽️ I’m officially a soccer mom. We just signed our eldest up for indoor soccer and we hope to have a mini Mia Hamm tearing up a stadium near you soon lol
🥦 I’m on a healthy eating lifestyle change and I feel so good. The waist is gettin snatched and I’m very regular 😉😂.
🌧 I love a rainy day indoors and live for time alone. I love my family, but my dream day is spending at least 4 hours by myself!
Tell me something current about you! What are you loving right now??

Did you know that I have a separate leg of my business where I host diversity and inclusion workshops?
I am VERY excited to partner with altared for our first official DEI workshop of the year!
My former colleague Beth came to me with a mission to bring more awareness to the wedding industry around diversity, inclusion and privilege.
I was more than happy to co-create a super impactful workshop that shows wedding vendors how to be sensitive to different cultures, serve diverse clients, and create an inclusive marketing strategy.
I LIVE for new collaborations and ways to consult across different industries in the DEI space, so this workshop is a dream come true.
If you know of anyone (photographers, wedding venue owners, makeup artists, florists, etc) who are interested in learning more about inclusion and allyship in the wedding industry, please share!
2.24.21 at 11am PST - tickets can be purchased using the link below!
What Does Authentic Allyship Look Like for Your Wedding Business?
