The Coalition for Cannabis Standards & Ethics is a member operated group of Collective Gardens, Producers, Processors, Medible Providers, Doctors, Lawyers and Scientists working together to ensure safe access in Washington. We are registered with the state of WA as a non-profit corporation. The purpose of this corporation is to develop and perpetuate standards, ethics, education, and self-governan
ce in the absence of State directives concerning alternative healthcare methods and holistic lifestyle choices involving the use of cannabis for medical use. Mission Statement
We commit our efforts to continuously develop ethical guidelines and quality standards for the medical cannabis community. Ethical guidelines govern our treatment of patients, community, and one another. Quality standards for each branch of the medical cannabis community help deliver high quality outcomes for patients. Members commit to the goals and protocols of membership and are accountable for compliance through audits by the membership. At the foundation of our groups structure lie a core of duties the Coalition is responsible for upholding:
Duties to Patients:
1. Provide safe access to medical cannabis.
2. Provide information and guidance on dosage amounts and ingredients of medicine.
3. Empower patients through education.
5. Keep patient safety a priority at all times.
6. Provide affordable options for low income patients.
7. Be compassionate. Duties to the Public:
1. Control any cannabis related odors.
2. Adhere to advertising standards.
3. Adhere to responsible consuming policies.
4. Keep cannabis related activities and/or symbols out of public visibility.
5. Provide educational opportunities about medical cannabis.
6. Be transparent and accountable.
7. Participate in the local community.
8. Adhere to safety and security standards.
9. Adhere to all city, county, and state laws. Duties to Each Other:
1. Support one another.
2. Share educational resources.
3. Be respectful at all times.
4. Be honest.
5. Be aware of any antitrust practices.
6. Adhere to all city, county, and state laws.
7. Agree to arbitration and mediation.
8. Adhere to all applicable employment laws.
The CCSE meets every Thursday at 5267 University Way NE, Seattle 98105 (the Care Wellness Center).
Every month
1st Thursday: committee meetings (check schedule)
2nd Thursday noon: full meeting open to the public
3rd Thursday: committee meetings (check schedule)
4th Thursday noon: closed member-only meeting
