🎃 SPOOKY SMASH IS BACK! 👻

One of our favorite fall events is returning on Friday, October 30, and if last year is any indication... the costumes might be just as competitive as the pickleball. 😂
Join us at North Seattle College for a fun night of pickleball, friendly competition, community, and Halloween shenanigans!

🏓 Fixed-Partner Doubles

Beginner (2.5), Advanced Beginner (3.0) & Intermediate (3.5)

Partners can be any gender combination, so grab your favorite pickleball partner and come play!

Don't have a partner? You can still join us. Just let us know you need a partner and we’ll do our best to pair you with someone.

Costumes are completely optional, but definitely encouraged! We’ll also have a costume contest, so coordinated partner costumes are very welcome. 👀😂

Check out some of the costumes from last year! We had everything from pickles to Cookie Monster and Oscar, and I already can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this year.

Battle of the Leagues was SUCH a blast 🏆

Huge shoutout to all four crews who came out and represented:
Women’s League
Team Kirkland
Team North Seattle
Team Magnolia

The games were competitive, the energy was high, and there was so much cheering, laughing, and team pride.

And a BIG congrats to our Women’s League team for taking home the very first Battle of the Leagues title!! 👏🏆

This was exactly what we hoped Battle of the Leagues would be: a chance for different parts of the EWP community to come together, compete, and have a ton of fun doing it.

Safe to say… we’re doing this again. 👀

Want to try pickleball but have no idea where to start? We’ve got you.

No experience? Perfect.

No paddle? We provide one.

No partner? You don’t need one.

Don’t know the rules or scoring? That’s what we’re here to teach you.

Our Pickleball 101 classes are designed for complete beginners. We provide the courts, equipment, instruction, and people to play with. You just have to show up!

By the end of your first class, you’ll know the basics and be playing your first real pickleball games.

Four teams representing different regions and league crews across Emily Wong Pickleball came together for some seriously close games, big community pride, and SUCH good vibes.

It was competitive, supportive, a little chaotic, and honestly just so much fun 😂

MAGNOLIA, LAST CALL! 🍂

Our Fall Pickleball League kicks off this Monday, 9/21, and we have a few spots left!

This will likely be our last Magnolia league of 2026 as we get ready to head back indoors for the fall and winter season. We don’t currently have another Magnolia option lined up, so if you’ve been wanting to play with us in the neighborhood, this is your chance. 💛

Join us every Monday from 5–7 PM for consistent, organized match play, rotating partners, and a fun community to play with each week.

Beginner and intermediate players welcome. No partner needed!

September Reset Retreat 💛

I spend a lot of these weekends pouring into my players.

Into their game. Into their confidence. Into helping them feel seen, supported, and like they belong, both on and off the courts.

And somehow, they always find ways to pour back into me too.

On our last day, we stopped for lunch and I mentioned how much I loved one of the mugs there. Later, Krista surprised me by buying it for me, and I was genuinely so touched. 🥹

It was such a small gesture, but it represented so much more.

These are the moments that make all the logistics, planning, and spending a weekend away from home and my usual routine worth it.

Watching the progress, transformation, confidence, and camaraderie that happens over a few days is already enough. But feeling that care come back to me in little ways like this is something I never expect.

I think this is part of why we’ve now done 8 Reset Retreats.

Every time I leave Whidbey, I come home re-energized. Ready to pour back into my local community, keep coaching, and eventually do it all over again. 💛

Thank you to the ladies of our September retreat for another memorable weekend. I loved getting to coach you, laugh with you, watch you support each other, and see how much growth can happen in just a few days.

And thank you to Jaree for coaching alongside me and helping make the weekend what it was.
