Hi all, I've been a member for a couple of months and I see how dog friendly this community is. I wanted to post this GoFundMe page for Coco. He is a 6 month old lab puppy that was abused and neglected by his recent owner. He is now back with his foster dad and we are trying to raise money to help fix his broken jaw/skull. Any donation is greatly appreciated, as is sharing this post with your network. Please help us heal Coco!

We are a community of athletes pursuing lifelong health & fitness together.

Second shot today! I hope everyone that’s able is getting their vaccine - please be on the lookout for a survey in your email in the next week about what you’d like GLSC classes to look like after most of you are vaccinated.

Also - thanks to our GLSC coaches and programming, the nurse giving me my shot said, “nice deltoid!” (in a clinical, non-creepy way). Get those ring pull-ups today all!

Recommit every day.

Holiday seasons come with all the holiday foods & treats. By all means, enjoy them and enjoy time with loved ones. Then begin each new day with a commitment to love and take care of your body. Do your best to get in some movement this week, some whole food, & plenty of water as we head into the holiday. Happy Monday!

Meet Madison. She’s a woman of many talents, one being a professional dancer. Some fun facts are she moved to Las Vegas on her own at 15 to pursue her career, and she’s not a coffee drinker but has a slight obsession with hot cocoa.

How long have you been a part of GLSC?
Little bit over a year!

How has being a part of this gym benefitted you?
Being a very flexible person, this gym has helped me build strength in ways that will support my hyper mobility. On top of maintaining physical health and endurance, during a time when I am not performing all the time, it has given me an outlet to continue moving and keep my mental well being sane and stable.

What’s your favorite workout/movement?
Top 3 - Snatches. Med Ball Slams. And Turkish Get-ups.

Favorite activity to do while in quarantine?
Hiking has become my quarantine thang.

Meet Reid. His positive attitude and kindness is contagious and he’s a valuable part of our community. Some fun facts are that he has trekked to the Mt. Everest base camp & the only thing he ever wanted to be when he grew up was a doctor, and now he’s fulfilling that dream as a 3rd year student in naturopathic medical school.

How long have you been a part of GLSC?
Since September 2019

How has being a part of GLSC benefitted you?
In every way! Improved fitness and mobility, stress relief, awareness of how my body moves and functions, more energy throughout the day, and it’s given me measurable goals to work towards. GLSC also sparks joy in me—it’s a community of cool people, friendly coaches who care, and owners (Nate & Kate) who always try to make it the best it can be.

What’s your favorite workout/movement?
My favorite workout is “DT” (deadlifts, cleans, push jerks)

Favorite activity to do while in quarantine?
I’ve been watching a lot of tv (Schitt’s Creek anyone?) and cooking a lot. I still wouldn’t serve my cooking to other people though 😂

One of our most important assets is our mindset, & one of the most important mindsets to have is gratitude. It shifts our perspective. This year has thrown many obstacles towards, well, everyone, yet there is still much to be grateful for.

We want to start by saying we’re grateful for our members. Without you we wouldn’t be a community.

We’re thankful for our coaches, Patti, Paul, Laura, Jordan, Tracy, & Jaeger, who daily invest time & effort into the members of this community.

Last but certainly not least we’re grateful for Nate & Kate who have sailed uncharted waters by running a gym in the midst of a global pandemic. Thank you for your tireless efforts to keep the gym open!

Happy Thanksgiving, from us to you!

What are you thankful for?
