As a gym, we love seeing the results of our members staying committed, growing stronger physically (and in many other ways) and getting healthier. In June, were focusing specifically on training with purpose.

Coach Genesis has been on a health journey for several years and her story is a great example of what it looks like to train with purpose and intention. After losing 150+ pounds (naturally) she found RHF to be a part of the village that helps her be intentional and continue getting healthy, body, mind, soul.

Next week Monday is Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a U.S. holiday observed on the last Monday in May dedicated to honoring and mourning military personnel who died in the line of duty.

We will operate on our holiday hours schedule from 8:00am - 4:00pm. All group classes that occur between these hours are on. Any group classes that occur outside of those hours are cancelled.

This week were highlighting Alicia (Haskins) Jones, the fearless Executive Director of RHF. When asked what's some of Alicia's best traits, dedicated, committed, collaborative and FUN were some of the adjectives used to describe her 😍 Team RHF completely agrees especially the fun part, which we get to see daily with Alicia at the helm of RHF. She keeps us laughing, and she keep things light!

Alicia, thank you for your years of service, and for the time, love, and energy you've invested into RHF. This gym community is better because you are a (big) part of it 🫢🏽

In May were focused on getting STRONG for life. As we know, exercise is only half of the equation to a healthy life. The other half begins in the kitchen, and in what we feed ourselves. A balanced, varied diet is essential as you continue to get strong and healthy congruently.

RHF is having a Nutrition workshop with personal trainer, Ivy Karlinsky. There she will share information about fueling your body for workouts with the proper fuel - fuel that gets results.

This workshop is on Saturday, May 30th from 10:00 - 11:30am and there is a small fee to cover instructor costs. If you would like more information, email Alicia at [email protected] or just stop by the Front Desk and let them know you are interested in attending.

Get Strong For Life is the May theme. The RHF Barbell Club is exclusive to strength training: weight lifting, olympic powerlifting, and much more. The best part about this is it's for every body - all ages and stages in the fitness journey.

We asked Coach Jared to tell us about what strength training looks like at all ages of life in the Barbell Club, and the impact that it can have physically, but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well.

One of our strength focused programs at RHF is CrossFit. RHF CrossFit focuses on strength and conditioning by incorporating functional movements. Our supportive community provides a positive atmosphere, accountability, and practical movement to help you reach your fitness and health goals πŸ’ͺ🏽
