Performing Flying Trapeze in SANCA’s Annual Pride Show on June 12 & 13!
“My circus journey began in Oklahoma City, where I first started training & performing aerial silks. Flying trapeze came about 2 years later, when my sister & I tried it on an vacation and I was hooked right away. Flying trapeze/aerials has given me so many amazing opportunities & has brought so many incredible people into my life, I’ll never ever regret running away with the circus.”
Why should people attend?
“Come see some amazing expressions of q***r joy & pride, wrapped in an amazing circus-y bow.”

Performing Flying Trapeze in SANCA’s Annual Show on June 12 & 13!
“I found circus and flying trapeze as an adult and it has changed my world! I started as a student and slowly found my way into a coaching role. I am still relatively new to performing, but absolutely love being able to share my passion for circus with an audience!
Circus is such a fun way to move your body in ways never imagined! It’s accessible for all body types and everyone can feel successful. I always continue to be inspired by other coaches, performed and students surrounding me both near and far!”
Why should people attend?
“Pride is a reason to celebrate yourself and your community! This will be an upbeat, fun show allowing performers to be their true selves and represent their community on stage! Who doesn’t love rainbows and sparkles!”

Artist Highlight: Lily Zhou
Performing Tippy Lyra in the The Protege Show | Curbside Stories on May 21 & 22! There's so many great artists in this show - come watch us do our favorite things!
“This is Lily's second time in the Protege Show, and she's very excited to be back! She's loved being part of the circus community in Seattle for the last four years - and is always so inspired by her instructors and friends here.
She's usually noodling around on silks or dance trapeze - but she has a lovely different apparatus that she wants to show off this year. It'll be a flippy tippy lyra of a time!”

Artist Highlight: Svetlana Tchistiakova
Performing Aerial Silks in the Protégé Show 2026 on May 21 & 22!
“Like other humans, Svetlana has been ground-ridden for most of her life; yet she yearns to fly, even if it takes her every last bit of strength she's got. She draws inspiration from the incredible creativity of her fellow performers and friends, and from her infinitely supportive partner, Brian. For this show, she is performing to a new musical score composed and played by Brian himself. The music has shaped the choreography, and the choreography has shaped the music, as Svetlana and Brian have worked together to bring this story to the stage. They hope you enjoy watching it as much as they enjoyed creating it!”
Best thing you've ever found at a garage sale?
“My cat. Well, it was more like a living room sale, than a garage sale. He passed away a few years ago, but he was with us for 18 wonderful years!”
