Just about one year ago, we began the teardown of the iconic Riblet double, Chair 2.

This lift holds a special place here at the pass, and while it was bittersweet to see a legend come down, the new lift has brought a much more reliable and improved experience up here.

Take a look through these incredible photos captured over the years - and if you haven’t seen our Chair 2 Riblet tribute film from last fall, be sure to check it out through the link in our bio.

The American West was faced with a difficult winter this year, and it was no exception here at Alpental. But for one short week in March, we felt right back at home.

People define home in all kinds of ways, but when the snow starts to fall, home is right here… and there’s nothing quite like it. 🤿❄️

Today’s a good one.

Uphill travel at Alpental is officially open for the rest of spring! Our teams have concluded tear down for the season, and for the first time in what feels like forever, we’ve got spring uphill access back at Alpental.

See you up here!

That was one for the books.

The rain held off, the vibes showed up, and somehow we squeezed a seriously fun closing weekend out of a pretty wild season.

Was it a weird winter? Yes.Did we still have a damn good time closing it out? Also yes.
Proof that it’s less about the conditions and more about the crew!

Thanks for making it a good one!

A little gloomy out there today, but the forecast is showing the potential for some sunshine tomorrow morning for closing day at Alpental!

Remember, we’re open to all Summit passholders tomorrow!

We plan to spin all lifts except for the carpet, conditions permitting. St. Bernard is definitely the best for beginners. Stay tuned tomorrow morning for updates.

Operations Update: We’re planning to operate Friday through Sunday, running as many lifts as conditions allow each day!!

We’ll be evaluating daily, and lift operations may change, so be sure to check for updates each morning. Coverage is thin and rock skis are highly recommended…

In the spirit of making the most of one last hurrah, we’ve got a fun weekend lined up!

Saturday night is the Back Bowls Ball from 5pm-8pm, featuring live music from fan favorite Left on Tenth.

Then on Sunday, it’s Last Call for Alpental. Dress to impress for the costume contest at 4:15pm (amazing prizes as usual), and catch live music from local band Cockfight from 3:30pm-5:30pm!

Sunday, April 12 is closing day!

We’re making one final push to keep lifts spinning Friday through Sunday. Coverage is thin, and lift/terrain offerings may be limited, with a more detailed update coming later this week.

Closing day access will be for passholders, Ikon Pass holders (reservation required), and ticket pack users. A limited number of lift tickets will be available Friday and Saturday.

One last weekend. Make it count!

A nice refresh today, with a bit more stacking up higher on the mountain. Freezing levels climbed today, so it turned to rain down low… but up top could be riding pretty nice tomorrow!

We’re operating this weekend and this could be your last shot! Warm temps and sun are moving in.

We’re aiming to spin lifts again next weekend but we’ll need to see how conditions hold up before confirming.

If you want spring laps with a little bonus snow up high, now’s the time!
