Remember to take some time each day to recognize a few things you are grateful for.
Today I am grateful for:
1. Mother nature’s astonishingly gorgeous creations
2. Being strong and able bodied
3. My amazing friend for taking this awesome photo and for so so much more.

Let’s talk about Moon Salutations!
🌙🌙🌙
Most yoga flows consist of Sun Salutations. Which are more energizing, build heat and use a lot of upper body strength. Moon Salutations have a more calming and grounding effect and of the work is lower body!
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Never tried a Moon Salutation? Look it up or join my virtual flow tomorrow at 10am!

Let’s talk yoga equipment!
There are so many props and accessories but the one thing you need for yoga (besides yourself) is a yoga mat!
Any mat will do the job. I used a cheap mat from Target (champion brand) for years. But there are perks to the more expensive ones.
1. They last longer
2. They have better grip
3. They don’t slide around as much
4. They absorb sweat, so you don’t need a yoga towel!
There are some accessories that help make up for having a cheaper mat. Like buying a yoga towel helps with sliding.
Brands:
1. I have a lot of friends who have great things to say about ’s mats.
2. Many studios swear by
3. I AM IN LOVE with my Ananday yoga mat. (I’ve borrowed a friend’s lululemon mat before and my mat has a lot better grip, I felt like I slid around a lot more with lululemon’s mat).
Ananday brand:
1. Small female owned business
2. Sustainably sourced products and packing
3. The mat is made of natural materials (cork) and also provide feelings of grounding, perks of practicing on a natural material!
Other yoga gear:
1. Blocks: allow you to modify, customize and switch up poses. Blocks provide support in poses where you don’t have the reach or strength to keep you up/supported. Can also be placed to lift a pose to vary the sensation.
2. Yoga straps: provide reach a reach and grip that we can’t always do with our arms and hands. Allowing us to deepen and intensify some poses.
3. Yoga towel: place the towel over your mat to help absorb sweat and increase your grip. Tip: spray down the towel and your mat to get them to stay together before starting your practice!
What yoga mat is your favorite? Which prop do you love the most?! Tell me in the comments below 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

Namaste, yogis!
I apologize for my absence as of late. I have been very burnt out and needed to take a couple steps back. I did not end up teaching last week and I intend to take this week off as well.
I am hoping I can get all my ducks in a row and recharge so I can be teaching again next week!
I am still here if you have any yoga related questions!
Have a good week and remember to take care of yourselves ❤️
