Westy Racing 2026 Season Recap
As we wrap up another racing season, it's hard not to look back and appreciate everything this year had to offer. From long hauls up and down the West Coast to late nights in the shop and countless laps on the track, this season was one to remember.
Westy Racing competed at 7 different tracks this season while running in 3 different classes. Throughout the year, the team showed consistent speed, earning 7 Quick Time awards and finding victory lane 6 times.
Over the course of 32 races, we recorded 21 Top 5 finishes and 27 Top 10 finishes. While we're proud of those numbers, they only tell part of the story. Behind every race night were countless hours in the shop, long drives, tough weekends, and the dedication it takes to keep showing up week after week.
None of this happens without the people behind the scenes.
A special thank you goes to Jonathan Roozen and Emmanuel Langarica. The countless hours spent on the road, in the shop, and at the racetrack never go unnoticed. Your hard work, commitment, and willingness to do whatever was needed helped make this season possible. Whether it was loading up for another trip, turning wrenches late into the night, or being there when things didn't go according to plan, you were a huge part of this team's success.
To my wife and kids, thank you for the support, patience, and sacrifices you make so I can continue chasing this passion. Racing takes a lot of time away from home, and I couldn't do it without your love and encouragement. Thank you for always being in my corner.
I'd also like to give a special thank you to Barry Martinez. There are so many things that happen behind the scenes that most people never see, and Barry has been a huge part of that. Thank you for believing in our team, supporting our program, and always being willing to help however you can. Having people like you in our corner makes all the difference.
Thank you as well to Ricky Fauver for the guidance and setup advice throughout the season. Having someone willing to share their knowledge, offer suggestions, and help point us in the right direction was a tremendous asset. Your experience and insight played a big role in helping us continue to improve week after week.
A big thank you to Skagit's White Push Truck for the incredible media coverage throughout the season. The photos, videos, and content helped capture the memories, tell our story, and showcase our team both on and off the track. We truly appreciate the time and effort that goes into everything you do for Westy Racing.
Racing is truly a team effort, and we're fortunate to have so many people in our corner. Thank you to our sponsors, friends, family, racing partners, and everyone who played a part in this season, including Washington Spray Foam, SpeedMart & Winged Down Chassis, Swan Island Sheet Metal, TM Anderson Law Firm, Skagit Transmission, Shark Racing Engines, SBW Ag Automation, Fusion Graphics, Baxter Excavation, White Racing, the Creagers, and my parents. Whether you helped financially, lent a hand in the shop, offered advice, traveled with us, or simply cheered us on, your support means more than you know and helped make this season possible.
We're proud of what this team accomplished in 2026. We made memories, learned valuable lessons, traveled thousands of miles, and had the opportunity to compete with some of the best racers on the West Coast. Most importantly, we had a lot of fun doing it.
