Team 2 in the books. Uniforms that never come clean

The game of softball is more than just wins and losses. It’s the uniform that never gets quite clean enough, the trail of dirt from the cleats and socks that leads to the room or fridge, the text about the proverbial missing sock or belt, the last minute call about forgetting cleats, the talk on the way home that sometimes is filled with tears and sometimes filled with “I can’t believe I did that”. The bus ride that removes self doubt and replaces it with a feeling of belonging or maybe a new song. It’s the practice that never ends and the coach who never quits picking on me and the practices that can’t be over yet and I finally achieved that goal. It’s the wins that happen inside the game vs Calvary Christian and the wins that happen on the scoreboard that you’ll never forget like IMG Academy. It’s being sad the last pitch of the year was thrown and the joy that builds knowing the next pitch is right around the corner. The memories are loading right now and so much to look forward to. Keep going…keep going.

But for some, the last pitch actually was the last pitch. The moments that transcend any other moment and remind them about every dive, swing, bruise and tear that led to that moment. The lifetime of courage, humility and friendships that will make life a little sweeter. So, Thank you softball. Thank you. Thank you for the uniform that didn’t quite come clean.

Not the outcome we wanted Sader fans but so incredibly proud of our girls. 16-3 and district runner up. Rankings will come out tomorrow for regionals and we’re definitely not done yet. Everyone congratulate our #1 Tenley Newman for her first OTF home run. This kid is a baller. Well done Tenley. #7 Got a homerun two games in a row as well. We will come back stronger and more prepared. Each pitch, out, inning and game our program is growing. To God be the glory.

Great job Saders. Well done representing SCA in the district semifinals. Girls had two home runs, pitcher had a no hitter, good defense and great base running. Let’s bring all we have Thursday night against Lakeland Christian. Should be a great matchup.

Huge announcement Sader Fans💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Jacey StJohn was named FACA District 15 Player of the Year Jacey’s year was incredible for any age player but as a 7th grader it is groundbreaking. 11-0, .23 era, 139K, .512 avg, 23 rbi, .532 obp, .791 slg, and so much more. Out side of that she is a leader, humble, courageous and one of the hardest workers I’ve ever coached. What a joy to Coach this young lady.
