🇺🇸 USA Baseball 16U/17U National Team Development Program (NTDP) – USA Baseball’s premier development event, bringing together many of the top players in the country to train, compete and be evaluated for future National Team opportunities.

⭐ Area Code Underclass Games – One of the most prestigious showcases in high school baseball, featuring the nation’s elite players in front of hundreds of MLB scouts, college recruiters and professional evaluators. Countless Major League stars have competed in this event.

⚾ Prep Baseball Future Games – The nation’s premier recruiting event for top uncommitted prospects, providing elite competition and unparalleled exposure to college coaches and professional scouts from across the country.

To appreciate how special this is, understand that thousands of talented players from across the country strive for these opportunities every year but only a select few receive the call. Everyday is a chance to reset, refocus and recommit to your goals. One of the questions we get asked most often is, “What does it take to play college baseball?” While there is no single answer, there are measurable benchmarks that college coaches consistently look for when evaluating players. ⬇️ The chart below provides a general snapshot of the metrics colleges desire at the Division I, II and III levels. These numbers aren’t meant to discourage anyone, they’re meant to provide direction.

🍻At Lone Star Brewers, we’ve been blessed to help numerous players continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level. The common denominator wasn’t always that they were the biggest, strongest or most physically gifted players. It was their commitment to development, consistency, coachability and a willingness to outwork the competition. College opportunities are earned through years of preparation and dedication to the process.

As you start your week, ask yourself: Where am I today and what can I do this week to move closer to my goals? The dream of playing college baseball is achievable but it requires honest evaluation, a plan and daily work because the dream is free but the grind is earned.
